Equatorial Penang

Built in 1990 but has lost nothing of its charm. Rooms are well maintained, spacious and clean. A large pool with a relaxing outdoor area to sit down for a snack or drink is a nice place to be in the late afternoon or evening. Its proximity to the nearby golf course with all its greenery gives the hotel a laid back feeling.

Room is comfort and the view is peaceful. The environment is well maintained. Pool is nice and have hot tub. Breakfast is great and the price is reasonable. Add on breakfast is 50% off when staying in the hotel (very happy with this offer). Staff is very friendly and welcoming (specially pool and dining area). Will definitely repeat staying here.

Had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday here. I was not disappointed. The food is excellent especially the deserts. The romantic ambiance of the place with the songs played really sets the mood. The staff is very courteous. The view from The View is also nice.

This was a fabulous hotel at reasonable prices and the staff were really incredible, extremely helpful but not intrusive at all. Room was spacious and I liked the provision of a proper work desk and work chair, I was able to work very comfortably in evenings.

Breakfast was extensive, starting at 6am. Dinner was an option until 2am I believe but did not really use that. Have a swimming pool and full fitness centre. There is an outdoor trail for walking or running also. I may arrive better prepared if I return.

The hotel is spotless, always smells incredible and the food is always fresh and delicious.

Very nice, yet affordable hotel in Penang. The place is huge, it is very clean, the pool is fantastic. Staff is utterly friendly and professional. The breakfast buffet offers you so many choices that it is almost overwhelming. Dinner at the Golden Phoenix is great, prices are fair, although you can get much cheaper food that is at least as good outside.

The staffs were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. We had a beautiful view. We had room service, dinner at Kampachi and breakfast at Nada Lama. No complaints at all in fact it was super good. This was my husband and I little escapade as we couldn't travel interstate. Will surely stay here again soon.

Excellent business hotel. No frills, no fuss. Lovely lounge with view and exceptional during cocktail hour from 5.30pm-7.30pm. Kampachi is undergoing renovation at time of this post. Great to stay away from the crowds and to be close to town and good food. Band plays from 7pm-11.30pm usually, stay away from main wing if you absolutely value quietness above all.

Amazing place to stay. Super topper customer service.very friendly staff. Clean and tasty breakfast . Family oriented hotel with all the activities such as billiard table, tennis table, big swimming pool .amazing deal of 2 nights with breakfast for 613rm net .the view from the room was very nice as well, facing swimming pool, golf court and penang bridge . Have to come and visit ,you wont regret.Better to have car as the place is a bit off road.

There's a golf field beside. Also, most of the compound are covered by trees and plants.

Besides, there are a lot of rooms/hall/meeting rooms for commercial used. For those who want to rent nice halls for event/workshop, this is definitely a good option.

High end hotel located in the hills above Penang. Close to the airport when traffic is not bad. Very cool open air lobby. The rooms was spacious and well appointed. Staff went above and beyond to make my short stay as pleasant as possible. I had to check out early and they modified my reservation so I didn't have to pay for a second day and only a small late check out fee. Japanese restaurant had amazing food.

Gorgeous hotel. Huge pool (with a swim-in cave & spa no less), friendly staff, great barista coffee (you do have to ask specifically for barista coffee & it's an extra charge, but just trust me - they know how to make a great coffee). Rooms are large & comfortable, staff are friendly & helpful.

Very nice and spacious rooms, but small standing shower. Very impressive open lobby and walking trails.There are numerous restaurants downstairs. Breakfast starts at 6am and is buffet style with almost every kind of cuisine. The hotel isn't in the city so no walking distance to anything outside the hotel, but there are free shuttles to malls and Georgetown.

Amazing views of golf course, bay and hill. Great green park inside with flowing water. Little picturesque bridge. Little old hotel with old styling, neatly maintained. Nothing in walking distance but well located from Georgetown, industrial area and airport. Good stay

Newly renovated in 2019. I love the hospitality and the toilets is super clean. Well maintained. We chose the hotel to avoid hot spot like Ferringghi to avoid big crowds sure enough it was a wise desicion. The roads to town was ok no massive jam though peak season.

Kids love the pool with cave and waterfall.

Housekeeping was super efficient and front desk was very polite and helpful.

Lovely hotel on hill slope with nice view of forest and sea. Other plus points- spacious lobby, gym, parking, indoor garden, friendly staffs. But the level of housekeeping varied across our 3 nights stay.

It is very old hotel in Penang but you wouldn't know. It is clean, well maintained and it has retained it's brilliant 5 star ambience all the same. On higher ground and away from the buzz of city traffic, it is great place to stay with a nice swimming pool, an adorable koi pond and a green tropical garden. Good to stay for business too...close to industrial park and airport.

Amazing place. Very nice ambience. Natural setting with lush tropical setting. Nice pool amidst well maintained landscape. Friendly and efficient staff. Came for a meeting. Will certainly return.

view was fantastic!! asked for golf field view and when we enter the room we can actually view both penang bridges as well from our room balcony. our first time here and we’re loving the room, the view and the facilities so much for the price we’re paying. just too bad it was raining season and we cant get sunrise view in the morning. but hey, a reason for us to come back and request for the same room just to have that sunrise view 🙊
