Penang International Container Art Festival - Kampung Terang, Balik Pulau

What a fascinating place in the middle of paddy fields. Genius idea for events. The verdant hues of the rice fields, the calmness of the surroundings, the chirping birds and the giant murals on both sides. Awesome and away far from the madding crowds of touristy Georgetown.

We visited this art mural in the middle of paddy fields. It's visible from the main road and accessible by a non-tarred road. The view is very nice since the paddy was growing green. The mural has two sides and there are birds nesting in the structure. A good place to visit and chill just off the beaten track.

The view is spectecular. So beautiful greeny scenery in the centre of paddy field🌾. Nice spot to take so many photo📸 Limited parking space if you visit on weekend or public holiday. Road from entrance to this mural quite narrow. Be careful ya.

The art work is nice. But the rice paddy field is even way more beautiful.

I’m vietnamese and I felt like I came back to ny hometown. Very peaceful. We did a bicycle tour there and playing knites, catching snails, riding horse (just randomly saw the kids with their horse and asked for a try)

Just one thing is very hard to take a grab or taxi here. We was very lucky when a local agreed to take us home in Bayan Lepas at night. 😂

Beautiful art in the middle of a more beautiful scenery. The art is excellent and really huge, making it backdrop for some really cool travel photos.

If you are lucky to come when the fields are lush, the amazing green backdrop of paddy fields are a beautiful sight. I certainly enjoyed it as much as the container art itself.

It might be a bit out of the way, but worth it as a stop if you make it part of a Balik Pulau tour along with the durian/fruit farms, nutmeg factory, cafes and the food places. The attractions here are not as famous s Georgetown's for sure but a nice drive on windy hilly roads away from the bustling city.

Great place for a breakaway with an awesome view. Suggest to go there early in the morning for the sunrise and fresh air. I was there cycling for the last time. Love it 😎

Beautiful paddy field, especially during the sunset magic hour! The mural is nice, but it is almost a distraction to the scene.

Good place to bring family for fun ride and get some fresh air in the morning wth breeze.

The ride could be up to 20KM ride. But you will not feel so tired.

After the ride you stop by for breaksfast. Which i will be showing later.

Nice Green Padi Field. Container Art is big and beautiful. Good for taking beautiful pictures. Entrance is FOC. Parking also free.

Nice place and view for capture photo. But less place for parking if many ppl there 😜 Overall must visit if go to Balik Palau 😊

This is located in a very back country of Penang island. Surrounded by vast expanse of paddy, tourists can rent bicycles and ride as one would in a countryside. All these provide a very instagrammable scenery for those who wish likes photography.

Paddy field with a huge container at the middle of the filed. Best for photography and videos. A great landmark for Balik Pulau. The route only fit for a car.

Worth visiting. The container art pieces are huge and majestic...nice masterpieces. Unfortunately most of the padi plots have been harvested. A few freshly planted plots of green saved the day
