Good place to visit in Balik Pulau. They have a lot of nutmeg products. My favourite is the nutmeg juice, very refreshing to drink during the hot weather. They also sell nutmeg balm and oil for external uses. Nutmeg sweets are also a good snack to eat.

The uncle aka founder is very passionate in explaining.

Update on April 2022: no longer having many visitors as it used to be and free nutmeg drinks to try due to SOP concerns during this pandemic. However, you can still buy nutmeg products from them. Will still come back to buy from them.

This place is great for a short detour or stop by. It is essentially and nutmeg factory where they produce and sells a variety of nutmeg products . Nutmeg drink is definitely recommend. In order to know more about its products , the owner is super friendly and very knowledgeable. A short demonstration is also performed by the owner which is quite interesting . Nutmeg for the win .

The local Nutmeg producer with long history. We should support local producer. The juice is nice and delicious with good function to your body.

Easy to find, driving down to the factory from the main road can be a little scary with its steep slope down. But well worth a visit - Ah Kong there is passionate about telling us all about nutmeg and how to tell the difference between "boy" & "girl" nutmeg fruit.

And he was a sweetheart to give me quite a few samples of dried unripe nutmeg seed to perfume my car, as well as the wondrous alien-looking ripe nutmeg seed that is bright red streaked with black. Reasonably priced nutmeg oil, balm, nutmeg tea and nutmeg cordial, great as gifts as well as own consumption.

Located along the main trunk road linking to the eastern side of Penang island. A place to source for traditional Buah Pala (Nutmeg), a remedy to relief stomach pain, low blood sugar, high cholesterol etc

Take some time to drive to this hidden nutmeg factory. It's right beside a Chinese temple.
Free entrance to this nutmeg factory. Actually this old time factory no longer open. but you still can take picture from outside. The owner of this factory is selling his nutmeg products, including ready to drink nutmeg drink, concentrated nutmeg water (in few sizes), nutmeg medical cream, etc.
The boss will explain to you the history of nutmeg, and show you how raw nutmeg looks like, smell like. How to differentiate between good one and low quality one.

Great experience here the founder let's us know more about nutmegs free of charge. Really was an eye-opener.
Used to have free nutmeg juice but due to COVID-19 restrictions not anymore. Have to give props for his generosity last time.

We arrived after the shop had closed The owner, an elderly and pleasant gentleman and a younger lady, lives in the same compound, graciously accommodated us with our purchases. As our intention was to buy nutmeg balm n nutmeg oil, we landed up buying raw grinded nutmeg which is delicious as a drink .
The young lady took time to brief us on the benefits of this buah palah drink. Overall, the visit was worthwhile having to drive from my Batu Ferringhi along the long n winding road to this Buah Palah Farm.

Spend around 10 minutes around here to buy nutmeg syrup and mace for cooking 😊
