A place for those who enjoy lesser crowd. Some tourists had been seen making their ways to enjoy its less commercial exposure. Get yourself ready for lack of basic amenities. Lonely planet is not far during weekdays.

Pasir Panjang Beach is a beautiful beach located in the north of Penang, Malaysia. It is a long drive from the city center, but the winding roads offer stunning views of the surrounding countryside. The beach is mostly visited by locals, but it is a great place to relax and enjoy the sun and sand.
The sand is soft, and the water is clear and inviting. There are no restaurants and shops on the beach, and mostly undeveloped, which makes it a great place to escape the crowds.

This beach is a nice spot for some family fun. When I was there, there were families having picnic and people fishing. The road there is a bit narrow but not a bad drive.

A very beautiful secluded beach. Not crowded with people. Great sunset view as well. You could bring your family for picnic and camping here.

best hidden gem in Penang! totally mesmerizing

Pasir Panjang beach means long sandy beach. More than 30 years ago there was only a fisherman's house and the only access was by a motorcycle. This was the place I learnt from that fisherman that seawater fish can be adapted to freshwater. I was told that freshwater had to be added slowly for a few months until the fish adapted to the freshwater. Today the government took over the beach and built a national training camp. It is a nice road for cycling.

A very good beach to spend time in the evening with friends and family. Couple's spot and it's entirely safe as you got a Guard post at the entrance of the beach.

Better get out from there after 8 pm as it gets dark and the road back home might not have light. So better travel out before it's too dark to drive.

Not much things to do and no shops near the beach to buy anything. Go prepared!

First time here .. nice beach .. relaxing not crowded .. a few stalls selling beverages and fusion food .. cheese corn in cup.. beach is beautiful so was the scenary.. a few anglers was seen trying their luck

Berpasir dan panjang, maka jadilah pasir panjang 😆 jk. Clean beach, no food stall, so you need to bring your own food. And if you do so please bring back all the waste, keep the beach clean. One of the best location during sunset. Watch your kids and beware of jellyfish!

The beach is clean and the water is clear. If you go there, please bring your rubbish back with you.

It's a beautiful beach to watch sunsets but the place is a bit isolated. Bringing a family in a big group would be advisable. You should bring along foods, drinks and water. I visited the beach early in the morning and left coz sunsets are in the evening. So i couldn't really see any activities.

Popular beach among local. this place is a hidden gems. The beach is beautiful & nice to have family picnic. Swimming is quite dangerous here(warning signboard were shown at the entrance) , thus recommended if you come with family only for picnic & avoid swimming activity unless you or your family members are very good at swimming. It has no public toilet or any public amenities so be prepared before coming here. Also it has a very limited roadside parking space, thus do come early & avoid weekend if possible.
