Pulau Betong, Balik Pulau, Penang, Malaysia. Reasonable priced dishes with super fresh seafood that will make you come back again and again just like we do. No complaints on food but the environment is humid and hot- if you can take it it is ok. 2. Visited again 03122023.

Very good seafood. Brinja in bean sauce is a good recommendation from me. Not overwhelming in bean paste. Steam prompets are very fresh, kids favourite. Flower crab steamed fresh with garlic is good. Sambal potato leaf is another local favourite dish to try too. If you want to try seafood in its ultimate freshness, do consider order everything steamed with garlic. Their curry sotong is good as well. Too bad they do not serve baguette. Else it would be awesome to dip the bread into the curry.

“Jiang shan mei ren” fish dish, prawns, and potato leaf with rice. BEST MEAL, BEST SEAFOOD I’ve had ever!! So fresh. And cheap price for the quality of food. Caught by local fishermen who park boats in river right next door.

Fresh seafood, running out fast.
Love the simple cooking not to cover seafood original taste.
Tuak is selling here.
Limited serving table, mostly big table.
Moderate price.

Fresh seafood - cooking style yummy- their kam heong style is delicious.

You could buy the seafood from nearby stalls and they would happily cook it for you (with a fee of course, by weight of the seafood).

Prices have increased but it is expected since everything else has also gone up.

The spicy sour steamed fish has just the right balance of salty, sour, spicy and sweet.

It’s a bit of a drive in but well worth it if you are looking for good food with a change of scenery. Dining by a river swamp, expect to be greeted by some swimming monitor lizards who are likely used to human presence.

Where you find Sea to Table at its most authentic.
Loved the Crab and steamed fish, enough English spoken so if you are looking for a break from the Georgetown scene head west you won't be disappointed.

My relatives who live in Balik Pulau took us here. The food is so good and fresh and reasonably priced. We had steamed crab - the meat was very fresh and sweet and an incredibly large amount of roe. Yum!! Advance ordered is needed.

Very fresh seafood with reasonable price, love the curry black pompret, lemongrass lala and the steam flower crab, all dishes we ordered were good! Don't forget to order the fresh nutmeg juice, it was really good!
We bought some fresh 'leng chi' fish from the fish monger behind the restaurant and the restaurant fried for us, it's so delicious!

A small but well known restaurant located in Pulau Betong, Balik Pulau, just next to a river. The specialty here is definitely the seafood where the customer can order directly from here or buy from nearby fish monger and bring over for them to cook. During certain season there will be Durian available as well.

First time come to the south part of Penang island. Not a fancy restaurant, but have kampung spirit. Like the homely feelings, and nice food. Worth to come if u are driving.

A small, family owned restaurant by the river/sea. One can buy FRESH seafood from the fish market (behind the restaurant) and let the chef of this restaurant to cook - at a fee. Very good and tasty food at affordable price.
Downside...far from the town!
