Got to know this place from reviews. Actually I have come to this area before for the fried crispy hor fun and it was at Lok Khoon coffee shop so this time I come to Ah Huat Pek instead.

To order basically you just queue at the counter to place your order and pay on the spot. Then you wait for the food to be delivered. Overall the place was probably 80% full when I was there but waiting time is very reasonable imho. Of course I ordered the must try fried crispy hor fun and also the fried belacan chicken. For the hor fun, it is a must to add the sambal which you can easily take a lot for yourself as it is self service. It makes a big difference to add the sambal and basically without it i would have provably rate the hor fun as 5 or 6 out of 10. The fried belacan chicken is kinda small and not bad. As it comes in smaller size, I feel the chicken meat is quite little so it is a bit lack of oomph for me when I bite and expecting a big chunk of chicken meat.

For drinks, they come in big size plastic cup for both drinks I ordered which is "Hor Ka Sai", i think is kopi O mix with Milo? And the other drinks ordered is "kuai bi".

All in all, satisfactory lunch for me. This place also serves other food from other stalls such as chai kueh, otak otak, fried oyster and so on but I am pretty full so I did not order and try those other food... maybe next time... 😉

I went there on a Thursday and there is already a slight crowd, can't imagine how pack it will be on a weekend. We ordered the famous must-try dish fried hor fun. It's not the usual "char", it's "zha 炸". Pretty interesting twist to the traditional dish. Worth a tryyy 👌the fried oyster is nice too. Small size serving is enough for 4-5pax. For drinks we ordered the hor ka sai (milo + kopi).

Fried horfun was delicious. Thevsauce was good and hotfun was well fried. RM7 per serving. Serving within 10 minutes upon ordering. 4 stars

Vege crystal dumpling was outstanding. The fillings was generous and the aroma was undeniable. Turnip version was delicious but the chives version even better. RM6 per packet of 5 pcs. WOW 5 stars

Took a drive to balik pulau specially to explore this eating place as recently saw many good posting on social media. We ordered their specialty crispy hor fun, fried oyster, rojak as well as the fried prawn fritter. Basically you can seat at any tables around the compound, after that just ordered from the boss and the food will be served to your table. The crispy hor fun is very unique and worth the try. Apart from the food, the coffee shop is very famous with their signature Drink- Ho ka Sai (Tiger bites Lion) 👍👍👍😀😀😀 Actually its a mixture drink of Milo and Coffee and you will surprised with the end result as the taste is amazingly nice. Love the slowly paste kampung lifestyle at the village too.

You have to park your car along the road and take bridge there. Take order from a lady who sit in front of stall. You'll need to pay first upon order, for both ahhuat stall and ohjian stall.
Hor kah sai very thick. Rm7 for two.
Ohjian Small size for RM15
Fried belacan chicken 2 for RM7 (this one must try, not spicy toddler can have it too)
Fried Hor fun 2 for RM15.

NICE food. But a bit pricey since its located at kampong.

Food is good and price reasonable. Particularly like the drinks, especially the 虎咬獅 - this is one of the best; not too sweet and enough chocolate to give it the kick... Will come back again

As featured in Axian's Balik Pulau food tour, the crispy fried Hor Fun is definitely a must order. While the gravy tastes like normal wa tan hor, the texture of the fried Hor Fun is something unique and found nowhere else.

The HoKarSai is also worth a try due to the super thick flavor. A bit on the sweeter side but with a bitter hint. Very strong drink and also quite unique.

Although the place is marked as closed on Wednesday, it was open when I was here on a public holiday. So, you might want to attempt a visit during holidays. Even the journey here passing houses beside the river and village life is interesting. The people here are friendly. I arrived at closing time and still they prepared a plate of fried Hor Fun for me seeing I came all the way just to try it.

Really good deep fried hor fun. The deep fried hor fun is crispy and crunchy bringing a different texture to the normal stir fry hor fun. The gravy taste compliment the taste very well. There are also large fresh prawns to top up the entire appeal of the dish.
