La Empanada

We like to come here for food and service. There is a waitress from Germany who would patiently wait until I say something in my almost non-existent German (but still great to practice:). She's also perfectly fluent in English and Spanish. Food is great, appreciate that drinks are served first and that is not always happening in Mazunte. Tschuss.

Our favorite restaurant in Mazunte! Food was good to very good (generous portions, decent prices, especially liked their pizza and guacamole), cocktails were fantastic! The service was super friendly and fast. We loved the atmosphere, very laid back and relaxing. Would definitely come back when we return to Mazunte.

Great pizzas! The tomato sauce was soooo good.. Service was also top notch and we were well taken care of. Loved the atmosphere! They also accept card without comission, which is nice.

La Empanada serves excellent pizza and pasta in a patio setting. One of my favourite places in Mazunte. Service is top notch, and the streaming music is right on. Wine, beer, various liquors.. As well local musicians will stroll in and out and play a few tunes for tips.

Solid food, atmosphere & service! Shout out to Rafael! He gave us awesome service while we enjoyed drinks, huge & tasty baked potato and a steller pizza with unique local ingredients. Overall vibe/ambiance was upbeat and fun. Family friendly and accepts credit cards, highly recommend!

The pizza is delicious! Ingredients are super fresh and crust is crispy which gives it a very nice flavour. It's definitely a must have if you're in Mazunte!

Our favorite spot in Mazunte! Been coming here for years. The best food and ambience in the area. Cool, fresh surf vibes with elegant touches such as a reflecting fountain - plenty of quality fans and always a friendly staff. The Empanada Salad is a must have. We also love the pizza, fish and baked potatoes. You literally can’t go wrong! There is something on the menu for everyone. And if you’re lucky, the owner will have made his famous banana cheesecake for desert. Recommend!

Best hostel in town! The owner is the most friendly owner i ever met. I was in the dorm for 12 days and i had a double bed for myself. The room was clean and there is a kitchen. Could be a bit more clean ( kitchen and shower ), but i would come back. Thank you so much Rafael 🥰

Best Pizza in Mazunte, love the giant all dressed potatoes. They often have 2x1 glasses of white wine ( make sure you say you want the promotion before you order) beer is COLD, margaritas are made with love. Salads are generous and fresh , the service is friendly and most of the waiters speak pretty good english. Nice atmosphere and they always play really good music.

Haven’t tried the sushi, but pizza was fantastic.

2x1 vino, the best margherita pizza, what else can you ask for in Mazunte. Staff is friendly and attentive and the vibe is cool and charming. HIghly recommend this gem if you're in town for a laid-back bite.

We found ourselves coming here time and again. The baked potatoes are a delicious meal and a great value too. The sushi is the best we had in town. The whole vibe of the place is relaxed as it should be. Bring bug repellent if dining after dark.

I really enjoyed this place. I had the Philadelphia sushi and my friend had the bacon potatoe. The sushi was suuuuuper good and fresh, and the potatoe came with a ton of cream and bacon - it was delicious!
The atmosphere was laid back and the service was great. We didn't even wait that long compared to other restaurants. There was even a special for white and red wine: two for the price of one.
Would totally recommend this place and will come back for sure to taste their other options!

I stopped here in an emergency to ask for help finding my friend who was lost in the mountains. The woman sweeping outdoors was THE MOST KINDEST AND HELPFUL PERSON EVER and I am eternally grateful for her speed in helping me. My friend is okay and we are well, thank you :)

Best pizza we have eaten anywhere in the world!!!! Found out the owner gets the flour and the tomato sauce from Italy.
