The lovely little place, with its all size turtles, was a sight to behold. The dedicated team had a beautiful idea to protect these majestic creatures, but unfortunately, they lacked the necessary funds and visitors to keep it going. It was a heart-wrenching reality, for these turtles were in dire need of protection and the place was a sanctuary for them. Despite their best efforts, the lack of resources and support made it impossible to continue with their noble cause. It was a reminder of the harsh truth that sometimes, good intentions alone are not enough.

Visit lasted about 1.5 hours. Buy tickets at the window and then walk up the ramp. Turtles were well cared for. Wish they would have opened the area where they keep the baby sea turtles. We could only see them from above. They don’t release baby turtles here, try Playa La Escobilla for that. Enjoyed our visit!

They were under construction so we didn't get charged a fee. They had limited exhibits open but there were people explaining and answering questions in both English and Spanish. It was an enjoyable and educational experience! I look forward to seeing them again once they're back up and running at 100%.

Great museum that's showcases many variety of American (North, South, Central) turtles. This center was built to remove the focus from consumption and use to preservation of local sea turtles. This is low season and the center is currently remodeling and expanding the exhibit space. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area. One can also volunteer here (see pics for info). Cost 35 MXN. Can't beat it.

Great little space where they have all sorts of turtles (land and sea), and educate people on the importance of conserving and rebuilding the turtle population. Only costs $34 pesos to enter, so if you have a spare hour, go visit!

Cute turtles, underwhelming enclosures. Friendly staff but during our visit there lots of enclosures were empty or in a decaying state. I enjoyed seeing the sea turtles, but wondered for how long they remain there....

Really neat to get out and see how other cultures are caring for their wildlife and enviroment. This was fun and educational and we really enjoyed all the little (and big) tortugas!

A must see when you're in the area. They have an abundance of sea turtles to view, it's very educational, and they are working to save and rehabiliate injured sea turtles. It's a large property with nice/easy trails with both indoor and outdoor tanks.

It is a wonderful thing that this center exists. For those who criticize it for not being more exciting, why don't you make a contribution or something to help them out. These facilities and foundations don't just magically fund themselves. Let's all jump on this bandwagon and help save these lovely creatures!
