It was a fun short boat tour in the mangroves and saw lots of interesting birds, turtles and some crocs. The island was fun and informative.

Incredible experience through the mangrove. Our guide Juan was very knowledgeable and friendly. You get off the boat on an island in the mangrove where there's a zoo, meal options, a museum, and gift shop. Highly recommend this tour!

If you are visiting the Oaxaca area I would definitely visit this community. You will be taken on a guided tour in a rowboat into a lagoon. You will see Crocodiles, turtles and birds. Tours can be booked at all major hotels in the area.

Beautiful community, gentle people, always nice! You can do many activities there : you can release baby turtles on the beach every night at the sunset, you can do horseback riding and you can go on a boat for a ride in the mangroves to look for crocodiles and birds.

One of the best tours of my life!!! Our house Sergio was intelligent, kind, friendly, insightful and very respectful. He made our tour the best it could have been. Definitely recommend anyone!!!! Also the tour is super cheap!!! The amazing guy in the pictures is Sergio!!! Of you see him say hello!!! And ask him to be your guide!! He speaks excellent English!!!

If you visit Huatulco or Puerto Escondido, add this place to your itinerary. My family loved it, the crocs, the deer, the iguanas it was all wonderful. Just be careful with “Chupis” (monkey) he is a little too friendly he might try to grab your drink. This place is a sanctuary to certain animals and most of the workers are volunteers, the funds you pay to enter the park are used to maintain the animals. So please tip if you can. We were also offered the ability to release the baby sea turtles, the experience was amazing. You pick two turtles and watch them go into the ocean. I highly highly recommend this place. Cash only.

This was an amazing experience! Our guide explained everything so well and the tour was very interesting. The animals in the lagoon are breathtaking, especially the crocodiles! I can only recommend anyone staying nearby to visit the community and take a tour of the lagoon and island.

Take a walk over to the beach while you're here. All the beaches in Oaxaca are beautiful but we found this one to be especially nice and had it all to ourselves.

We did the mangrove tour and later on 'liberacion de tortugas'. We liked the tour and the second was an amazing experience!

Great lagoon tour and friendly guide! Tours start from 9am (and you can grab a coffee/breakfast upstairs in the café whilst you wait). You get to go to a small island and see so much wildlife. As a note, the tours are Spanish-speaking only. Would highly recommend!

The visite of the Lagoon si really Nice and well explain by the guide. Remember to bring your hat for the sun and mosquito repellent.
They also offer baby turtle liberation, it start at 17:30, be there around 17:00 to be sure. With the sunset it was amazing, thank you guys!

The lagoon is very beautiful and full of crocodiles and other reptiles. The best tours are given by people with white t-shirts, they take care of the animals

Quaint little community that offers tours of their crocodile-infested lake. In addition, there is an island with a small zoo and 2 restaurants. Its beautiful to learn of their way of life, especially considering that this place suffered lots of damage from Hurricane Agatha 6 months ago.

Wonderful exploration of this vast, 150 hectares. Filled with crocodiles we saw dozens, birds, turtles and a myriad of plant life. Our guide Vacente was excellent, informative, kind and very agreeable to our children. Go and be amazed.

Wonderful tour if you love savage animals. All the guys are very well prepared, nice and funny. They also work very well for everyone’s safety. Recommend!!!
