Lovely beach if you like them without a lot of people. There is no free shade, but you can rent a spot if needed. Sometimes there are pelicans swimming in the waves, which I thought was pretty cool, and there are plenty of spots nearby for a quick bite.

Great beach for swimming, lounging, and playing in mellow waves. I visited over New Year's and it was somewhat crowded but never insane. Pretty much anytime other than christmas/new year's/semana santa I imagine it would be perfect. Can rent and an umbrella and 2 chairs for about 200 mxn/day with some negotiating. Good amount of vendors selling tamales, tacos dorados, ice cream, etc but never felt like they were harassing or anything.

In my perspective, it is the best spot to swim and enjoy the beach.

Beautiful but more people than playa Mermejita

This beach rules. Along much of the mexican pacific coast, you can't really go in the water that far because of the strength of the currents and waves. I was in Zipolite and I couldn't really go into the waves at all, which was disappointing. At this beach you can jump in the waves, swim, snorkel. I had an absolute blast here and will be back. Mazunte has the best beach in the area. Maybe I shouldn't tell anyone because it'll become too popular, but I couldn't resist. This beach is awesome. Made some great memories.

Incredible beach for chilling at. Note that this is not a swimming friendly beach UNLESS you can handle rough surf. Some of the waves are huge and will toss you around easily.

One of my favourite beaches in the whole world, definitely the best in Mexico. It's changed a lot over the years but it's such a fun place to spend time. Locals gather to play volleyball and so very every night, hippies play music and yogis practice headstands all while the swimmers have fun in the amazing waves. Sun goes down early on this side, but comes up early too.

Some nice and little beach in Mexico, go get some cocktails and enjoy the oaxacan coast. Oaxaca is like a country inside another country. Also, dont be afraid of the local flavours, they are exotic and sometimes spicy, but I swear they worth it!

The beach of Mexico's pasific side. The main beach of the little mzunte town. The place is gorgeous. And there so much to do that you just don't want to leave. The comunnity are great and the place is s pure fun. Highly recommended

Beautiful beach, the waves are calmer here and the sand is softer than in other beaches.

Basically an extension of Playa Mazunte. This corner of the beach has some of the calmer water and tends to be more popular.
