Great unassuming Italian food at a small beach town in Mexico. Honestly some of the best Italian food I’ve had in recent memory - the shrimp pasta and green salad were amazing and affordable. Busy the night we went, but our server was great and was working hard to make sure everyone was taken care of.

Who thought I would find a nice Italian restaurant on the pacific coast of Mexico? When we stopped on our first night in Mazunte, Oaxaca and asked where was the best place to eat, all the locals seemed to agree that Alessandro is one of the best, if not the best. Be warned, it is not Mexican food. It is however some of the best pasta I have ever had. My favorite was the Pesto Pasta. Although a vegetarian dish, it is full of flavor and color. I also realized that in Mexico, I could have Filet Mignon for half the price it costs in the U.S. I visited two nights and the special one night was Filet Mignon with a Mushroom Cabernet sauce and roasted potatoes. This went down very well paired with a Valpolicella. As they would say in Mexico, "Delicioso!". If you ever find yourself in Mazunte, definitely pay Alessandro a visit.

Amazing homemade pasta with fresh ingredients. We’ve been to Italy many times, and this truly was an italian pasta.

Something went wrong with our order (left it on the wrong table) but once we asked they noticed and immediately fixed it.

Excellent pasta! I've been to Italy many times and can tell you that in many touristy sports there, they won't serve you anything nearly as good as this. The chef really knows how to make pasta just like your Italian grandma. We will definitely come back.

Very tasty! Fresh and homemade pasta, we liked the version with shrimps and with salvia, good portion, very original options. Also the service was very good. We ended up satisfied and will come back soon!

I ate here at least 5 times during my month long stay. They make the pasta in house, the prices are affordable and the owner is really nice! I really like the fish filet with a tomato base pasta.

The price to quality ratio is amazing. We had some entries and two excellent pastas. The wine is decent and the vibe is super chill, Mazunte, self construction kind of place. If you're in the area,don't miss it

Absolutely delicious pasta, relaxing atmosphere, good wine and excellent service. They also actually adhere to their opening hours which is so nice and refreshing in Mexico. What more could you want?

The best food in mazunte. We went first night, second night and third night for dessert. Hard to believe you can find Homemade pasta in this small town. Fresh fish was delicious as was octopus pasta. Zucchini salad and guava pasta can compete with anything In Italy (same with tiramisu type dessert!) the owner is friendly and makes everyone feel welcome

Outstanding fresh pasta (we both had the linguini with shrimp). And the pulpo appetizer was really good — with that “fresh off the bbq” taste. And don’t skimp on dessert! The pannacotta with passion fruit was a delightful end to the meal.

Great Italian food in Mazunte. The staff was super friendly and they were nice enough to keep the restaurant open late for us after we had an accident and could not make it earlier. Food was very good. Loved the lemon ginger pasta and the linguine vongole.
