Mayan Palace at Vidanta Puerto Peñasco

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! Even with the windstorm that kept us in our rooms all day, it was still so very nice. Loved the concept of the living area between the two bedroom suites. It made it so convenient. Since the resort is so far from the town making it difficult to get groceries, the rooms should have a full-size refrigerator to be able to stock up for the week. Just a suggestion! Service was outstanding, and we were able to enjoy lots of the activities put together by the Joy Club. Fun activities!

Edgar from joy squad was awesome at helping us learn to play blackjack and other games it was so fun! The rest of the joy squad that has been very kind to me include, Danny, Diego, and Samantha, glad to have them around as it was my first time over here. Adrian was the one who served all my drinks to where he actually smashed my cucumbers for me with every drink! Edwardo was also the best. Let's just say I made some friends and they all took the time to learn mine and my friends names as well. Definitely give them 10 stars if a could! Very respectful and response time for any service is amazing. Antonio in room service also was awesome to attend any orders we needed! Will definitely be coming back!

Amazing experience here and I highly recommend the tortilla class with Chef Bernie and Joy Edgar. Great learning experience and the tacos at the end are great!! Highly recommend this class.

Joy squad is what makes this resort so much fun with out them it would be boring. So make sure you pay them well. They are all so polite and kind. I enjoy them all, Edgar, Abel, Denis, Sam, Diego and Damian.

Edgar is one of the activity leaders. He was amazing. So we're the others, Samantha, Denis, and Damian. The activities were fun. Especially enjoyed the Friday night pool party.

Did a Ceviche class with Samantha. Super informative and cute as a button. Gracias Samantha now I can make Ceviche like a champ!

Denis was excellent and we enjoyed his personality and hospitality. He did an excellent job with Bingo and the best aerobics class. Edgar was great and very friendly.

Beautiful resort!! After taking a very long entrance road, then dirt road, you arrive to a beautiful secluded resort. The theme of the resort is Mayan. The resort is adorned with lots of references to this theme. Once you arrive and check in you will be given wristbands that are keys to the room and you wear your entire stay. This is a cashless resort so EVERYTHING is charged to the room. The food and drinks are definitely resort priced and can add up quickly with a larger party. The suite I stayed in was fantastic!! Full kitchen, on balcony soaking tub, in room jacuzzi, and lots of room for larger parties. The lazy river is incredible and one of the best I have ever experienced. As the resort is the last resort on the peninsula the beach is essentially a private beach for the resort. This is fantastic but also means "town" is about 20 -30 minutes away. The beaches are amazing!!! Clear emerald green waters, that are warm, and filled with wildlife. A great place to stay if you are looking for a quiet lazy time, in a beautiful location.

Take advantage of the fun classes offered at the Mayan! We have a fun tortilla making class with Bernice! The class was fun and delicious! Denise had an aqua aerobics class, so fun!

This is a very quiet place to visit with the family. The beach is semi-private so there are no vendors around. Everything was very clean. the sea water was warm and very calm. The food is delicious, but not affordable for all budgets. The entrance requires membership and I don't know the cost very well because I booked with a promotion at a very affordable price.

I love the Mayan palace! But the rooms at the Grand Mayan are nicer.

A lot of fun daily at the hotel the joy squad really makes the trip enjoyable as well and is very inclusive with everyone at the hotel. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to come to Mexico and highly recommend them to participate in the activities the joy squad has to offer.

Came during the off-season (January) and not all amenities were open (no lazy river or kids zone, only 1 restaurant open) but no crowds to deal with either. Service staff was outstanding and had the place to ourselves it felt like! Overall, excellent vacation here!
PS. The sales pitch is roughly 3 hours long. They'll tell you it takes 1 hour.. prepare for 3 hours - the discounts are worth it though so take advantage!

It is my first time at this Vidanta, I've been to all the others. The staff are excellent. My room was very clean. I stayed a week. The ocean view is breathtaking. Lots of pools, even an inside pool if you want out of the sun. I also had privileges to the Grand Mayan. It has, I believe 5 jacuzzis. Mayan Palace and Grand Mayan are next door to each other within easy walking even for me with an Upwalker. My complaint is that it is 40 minute drive to town. The resort has you captive to stay there for their nightly activities which are ok and most are free and their restaurants which have great food at a tad high price. I prefer checking out the quaint local restaurants so if I come back because the setting is so beautiful I'll get a kitchen unit in Grand Mayan where I can do light cooking. The jumbo shrimp are bigger than anywhere in the world I've ever seen and so delicious. You can buy jumbo shrimp in town to cook yourself. All in all a lovely stay.

Amazing and beautiful resort! Nice chill spot to relax and the employees are very friendly and courteous. It’s like paradise here and can’t get enough of it. The view, the area surrounding the beach with the fresh air from the ocean just makes this resort amazing. The restaurant food was good nothing was bland and everything has flavor. Breakfast buffet is the best by far it was delicious from pancakes to authentic Mexican breakfast dishes. You can’t beat all you can eat buffet! Must of gain 10 pounds in one sitting. Beautiful resort to relax, it’s clean and it’s paradise there. I recommend this place for a time of your life. Nicely done Mayan!!!

Beautiful resort. Rooms are very large and meticulously maintained. Resort is quite large and has immediate beach access. Restaurants are very good to excellent but somewhat pricey. Wide selection of pools, hot tubs and lazy river really complete the resort.

Edgar, Samantha, Abel made the trip they had such good service and helped us so much through out the trip !!!
