Bahia Principe Luxury Akumal

My wife and I were thrilled with our experiences. We only wish we had booked a longer stay. The service was superb and the staff all professionals, friendly and courteous.
I personally enjoyed the daily bike tours at 10 AM and 4 PM. A nice way to get daily exercise and meet new people before and after the pool and beach.
The ocean views wonderful. The buffets very nice. So much to do and see.
We enjoyed all the shows and Black Bird absolutely phenomenal performance. The singing, acting and dancing exceptional.
While all the staff are wonderful and give their best, we want to especially thank Cecilia, Eddy, Gerardo, Zabdiel, Jose, Marco for treating us like friends and family. They are truly world class from the entertainers group.
We will be back in November or February. Can't wait.

Highly recommend Akumal, the service from everyone in the resort was the best we have ever had! And our family has done several all inclusive resorts in Riviera Maya. The food was also the best ever! The beach wasn’t the best, it is not the soft white sands that most places have, it’s more broken shell like you would have in let’s say west coast of Florida. Rooms were decent but probably could use a remodel. Overall it was a great place and the people that work there would be the main reason for a return.

We had an amazing time at Bahia Principe Luxury Akumal. We got a swim up room and it was awesome. The staff is so friendly and helpful and the resort is extremely clean. The beach is beautiful and by the adults only resort you can see all types of fish just inside the cove. The food and drinks were very good as well and it is nice you can visit the other Bahia Principe resorts right next to it to try their restaurants as well. We would definitely consider coming back!

Absolutely fantastic resort! Lots of pool side and beach sunbathing. Lots of fish to see in the sea. Huge resort with something for everybody. Drinks menu fabulous and loads of bars EVERYWHERE!
Food fantastic and so much choice. Restaurants amazing, our favourite was the Cozumel Coba. The evening entertainment was always fun, lots of music, the entertainment staff were brilliant. Great cafe in the lobby area, serving fabulous coffee. All the staff were fantastic and friendly.
The only negative was the slightly unfriendly attitude of the lobby cafe staff. But having said that, we would definitely come here again. Room service (Juan and team) were great and made a point of making sure we had everything. They were also fantastic when we had a problem with the shower.
All in all, fabulous holiday, perfect weather and the most amazing resort! Can't wait to come again! Thank you Akumel!

First time going to Rivera Maya Mexico. The hotel was great! I have a gluten free allergy and it was amazing how accommodating they are! Valerie is the best (please give her a raise!) she made my meals choices stress free and delicious! We will come back again in the future. Tip make sure to check in earlier on the app so you can get reservations for a la carte dinners as they book up very fast. Thank you so much for a wonderful vacation!

This place is amazing. We stayed in an older room that wasn’t updated yet but it was clean and nice . And who is going to spend time in their room when they are in Mexico anyway? The food was phenomenal esp the huge Mexican food selection at the buffet. I would come back just for that. Good entertainment and very friendly people. You can visit the neighbouring Bahia resorts which is fun too. The beach has about no sea weed and very nice to swim at.

Traveled all over Mexico and this all inclusive resort was the best experience I’ve ever had, everything about it including the location and staff is 10 stars! The staff is what makes the experience the best! All the entertainers, the front desk, the housekeepers, to the greeters in the front makes your stay amazing.. can’t complain about anything including the food! One person in particular who had amazing customers service is Patricia Chable! Such a sweet lady also with prompt friendly service .. I’ll definitely plan on coming back :)

This is the most amazing service I have ever had since I travel. As soon as the staff see you they come and check if you need something and help. You sit somewhere and they come and check if you need a drink or whatsoever. Rooms were super clean, fridge always full. Clean towels every day and the food is amazing!! I highly recommend this place. I have been here 10 days so far ♡

Turning 80 at this hotel was the best gift and memory I will never forget! I highly recommend this hotel! Came here on vacation with my wife and my family. The experience of the hotel left me speechless!!! This place was definitely a dream come true! But what made it that way was the staff!!!! One staff member I will never forget is Patricia Chable! She did a surprise of lifetime memory. Bless her heart and soul for an amazing table set up and delicious birthday cake ! The fact she went out of her way on her own to make me feel special and my family ; is something I will carry in my heart FOREVER! Thank you so much everyone. Who ever is in charge please!! give your staff a raise and whatever else you can with what they deserve because they are really making this hotel exceed more than 5 stars! We will be back!

The restaurant Ku’uk was fantastic. In many places the vegetarian plates aren’t that interesting but here they really made an effort to mix flavours delicately to make a fabulous dish. The steak, chicken and duck meals were also very well appreciated of too! The best part was our incredible waiter, Hermelindo. He was full of jokes and would anticipate what we wanted before we asked, without hovering. Not sure how he did it. A great evening!

My 4 year old daughter had the best trip thanks to the whole crew at the kids club. She was treated with so much care and the activities they did truly made the trip out of this world. I truly cannot thank the whole kids club team enough, core memories were made for my daughter lucy! I wish I could recall everyone’s names to thank them by name here.

Outside of kids club every person we interacted with made our trip a delight. From check in to checkout, I don’t have a single complaint. We cannot wait to return!

Ku’uk was by far our favorite restaurant during our stay! This was more than dinner, this was an eating experience. The flavors were so unique and the presentation beautiful. The staff was amazing, Jose, Gladys, and Carlos were all wonderful and made us feel at home! Thank you for everything!

My new wife, 1.5 year old and I came here for most of our two week honeymoon, then went to a hotel zone resort for the rest. I wish we continued our stay at Bahia Principe Luxury Akumal. The rooms were not perfect.... but well over adequate. And anything it lacked in "hotel zone" beaches, it more than made up for in great food, great service, sprawling layout to explore, amazing entertainment crew, great shows, and overall positive vibes. Would recommend to anyone!!

This is our second time in Bahia and we love it! Jose Gomez at the front desk was very helpful with switching our rooms so we were closer to buffet and pool since we have kids and wanted to be away from adult only area. Food was fantastic. Tons of activities throughout the day and night. You literally don't have to leave the resort and stay busy all day or just relax.

This was our first trip to Mexico and I must say it was 10 out of 10! We’ve stayed in Bahia chain couple of times, but in Dominican Republic and it didn’t disappoint us again ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Rooms: We’ve stayed in newly renovated rooms - everything was new, stylish and clean 🤩

Beach: not the smoothest sand I have to admit (bring water shoes), BUT the crystal clean water and variety of fish (I’ve counted like 10 different types - big and little) give you the best snorkeling you’ve ever had (bring diving mask)⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Service: amazing service! All was in a timely manner, cocktails, drinks never stopped 😉. Special thanks to the waiter in a buffet Eric Franko (in the centre of the pic) for the fabulous service and great attitude!

Food: DELICIOUS!!!!

Iguanas, lemurs, raccoons (at night) will make sure that you can skip your trip to the Zoo this year. They are AMAZING!

Staff at your hotel are excellent, friendly and helpful. Especially want to mention Cecelia, Erik and Jonathan(entertainment staff) and Christopher at the front desk. For beach and ocean lovers, we would recommend water shoes as there are sharp rocks in the water. More shade in general at all locations, beach and pools
