Zazil Retreat

We had the best time ever here! Christa is the nicest hostess. She connected us for a boat tour with the most enthusiastic captain ever (Pacifco Mágico Tours), also with a great masseuse that came up to the retraite, arranged our taxi and a doctor for my sick boyfriend. The included breakfast is very good (fresh bread, butter, fruits, yoghurt and granola) and you can add things if you like. We were staying in the cabana with private bathroom; what a view! And spacious room, big shower (cold water, but you don’t need hot water in this climate) and the room is mosquito proof. Okay, it is a bit of a walk up, but really doable and worth the view! And takes not more than 10min. Did I mention the view?? Breathtaking! You can see the sunset set in the ocean (so no need to walk up to pointa cometa). And we even spotted whales! The swimming pool is beautiful also, and nice to relax. Wifi is not so good, but that goes for all of San Augustinillo and also you Simcard. Just enjoy the offline gift ;) Again: overall just amazing!

Zazil Retreat is probably the best hotel in the Mazunte / San Agustinillo area! The Bungalows (we had the Gecko Suite) are beautifully furnished and offer plenty of space. The separate WC and shower also. We also appreciated that the beach towels are also provided. But the absolute highlight is the terrace! The view you can enjoy from the hammock is absolutely spectacular! We never had such a panoramic sea view before!

The silence is also beautiful. You can hear nothing but the sound of the sea in the distance and the birdsong in the morning. The breakfast is excellent and is served very generously. The service staff is friendly and very helpful.

Also from the infinity pool you have a wonderful view over the surrounding nature and the bays of San Agustinillo. Once we could even spot a whale as it exhaled through its blowhole!

For all Yoga fans, the Zazil Retreat has something very special to offer.A huge yoga studio, fully equipped with everything you need for yoga. Starting the day in this studio in the golden light of the incoming morning sun was simply perfect for us.

We can recommend the Zazil Retreat 100%! If you like nature and its sounds and have a spiritual touch, you will absolutely love this hotel!

This place is awesome! The view speaks for itself and even though it’s pretty pricy for Mexico, it’s worth it! I decided for the Suite and enjoyed this fantastic place for one night. Leo, the manager, is super nice and she makes this place even better. Highly recommend!

Had a wonderful stay for my 30th birthday, staying in Orion and looking ar a Mars-Venus-Moon stellium was the best gift I could give myself

Superbe expérience au Zazil Retreat, la vue est incroyable, le petit déjeuner est très bon et notre chambre était merveilleuse. Il y a une piscine, ce qui est très plaisant.

Es un lugar espectacular, atendiendo sus propietarios a los huéspedes. Personas amables y con interés en ti comodidad. Para los friolentos como yo quizá con un calentador solar pudieran calentar un poquito el agua para bañarse con más confort. Pero la estancia fue maravillosa y regresaría mil veces!

Der Weg hinauf ist sehr sehr steil, hier ist ein Auto von Vorteil.

Wir staunten nicht schlecht als wir oben ankamen. Einfach nur wunderschön! Ein Traum für jeden! Die Betten mit Meersicht und die Abtrennung zum Balkon mit nur einem riesigen Mosquitonetz geben dir das Gefühl draussen zu schlafen. Hier wurde viel Liebe in die Gestaltung des Zazil gesteckt. Auch Qualitativ sind wir sehr positiv überrascht. Der Infinity Pool lädt zum Verweilen ein.
Wir haben nur einen Kurztrip mit zwei Übernachtungen gebucht. Da wir ausserhalb der Saison kamen, hatten wir das ganze Hotel für uns alleine. Die zwei angestellten sowie die Besitzer waren sehr freundlich und fragten uns auch nach unserem Wohlbefinden.

Das Wlan funktionierte während diesen Tagen nicht, was jedoch am Anbieter lang und nicht am Zazil. Solche Ausfälle sind ja hier umher üblich.

Das Frühstück bestand aus frischen Früchten, Yoghurt, Nüssen, frischem Ananassaft, Brot, Butter & Apfelkompott. Mit wenig Aufpreis kann mach auch weiteres dazu bestellen.

Ein Restaurant oder Essensangebot gibt es hier (ausser dem Frühstück) nicht. Wir bestellten uns daher am ersten Abend Pizza nach oben und am zweiten Abend gingen wir am Strand ins 10 Autominuten entfernte "El Alchimista" essen (wunderschöne Location für ein Abendessen).

Wir werden das Zazil Retreat auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen auch wenn es nur für eine Übernachtung ist, es lohnt sich!

Eine herrliche Unterkunft mit Blick auf den Pazifik. Die kleinen Hütten sind sehr stilvoll eingerichtet und qualitativ hochwertig. Jede Hütte hat eine eigene Terrasse mit Hängematten, Stühlen und Tischen. Die Gastgeber sind super freundlich, helfen gerne wenn es um Reservationen und Ausflüge in die Region geht. Auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert.

La cama más rica del mundo, las habitaciones muy bonitas, amplias, cómodas, privadas, limpias y frescas. El desayuno delicioso y muy buena atención.
Lo único que necesita considerarse es la enorme subida para llegar. Urge una camioneta a la que le puedas llamar y suba y baje a los huéspedes, muchas veces ni los taxistas quieren subir, y se convierte en un problema, sobretodo de noche. Si nosotros la sufrimos y hasta me caí y raspé una vez bajando, no me imagino personas de la tercera edad, sería imposible para ellos. Si eso se solucionara, sin duda volvería y lo recomendaría mil veces.

Vistas increíbles. El complejo es muy tranquilo y bonito. Lleno de árboles y vida. La alberca tienes unas vistas increíbles. El personal se esfuerza en mantener todo muy limpio y bonito.

Excelente, todo de un gusto exquisito. Nos quedábamos 2 noches y ya llevamos 4!!! Y Crhista un amor de mujer... Un pequeño paraíso donde descansar y ver los más maravillosos pájaros. Volveremos.

Un bonito lugar donde relajarse en la piscina, con vistas al Pacífico.
Lo malo, hay que subir una cuesta bastante pronunciada y algunos taxistas se niegan a subir. Pero merece la pena.

Zazil Retreat es un lugar para disfrutar de unas vacaciones rodeado de la belleza natural de San Agustinillo, para dejarse arrullar por el sonido del mar mientras descansas en un hermoso bungalow con vista al mar. Christa y Anton te van a atender muy bien y pasarás unos días inolvidables.

Un lugar para relajarte y habitaciones hermosas con una vista espectacular, la dueña Eva una persona muy atenta y excelente persona nos dio una recomendaciones muy buenas para comer.
