My dining experience at Blue Marlin in Puerto Peñasco was absolutely outstanding! We indulged in the Carlos V shrimp, wrapped in bacon, and they were divine! Perfectly sized and bursting with delightful flavors, especially when paired with the pineapple glaze. The coconut shrimp was equally impressive, with a creamy sauce that complemented the dish beautifully. And let's not forget about the chipotle shrimp, boasting a sensational BBQ chipotle sauce that struck the perfect balance of smoky and spicy flavors. Every bite was a culinary delight, and I can't wait to return for my more exquisite seafood creations at Blue Marlin!

But what truly sets Blue Marlin apart is the exceptional service. From the owner's heartfelt greeting of "welcome home" to the attentive waiter who ensured our comfort throughout the meal, every moment was infused with care and attention. When we realized tips were cash-only, the owner's understanding and graciousness shone through. Despite our insistence on going to the ATM, they insisted on our comfort and even offered to let us tip next time.

Blue Marlin isn't just a restaurant—it's a place where you're embraced with love and where exceptional service is the norm. Do yourself a favor and show this place some love; you'll undoubtedly receive it back tenfold. Can't wait to come home to Blue Marlin again soon!

Flounder au Gratin was wonderful. Shrimp salad, garlic butter and calamari. Order a margarita. Will eat again on our next visit owner was very nice and checked on us several times

This hidden gem in Rocky Point is a wonderful romantic, classy little place. The Suttle music just takes you away from the hustle of real life.

The Blue Marlin is mainly a shrimp joint. The venue, small, quaint, cozy. I had the Coconut shrimp. It tasted a bit sweet for my palette. My sweet angel daughter thought the same. The shrimp huge! The texture cooked to perfection! The shrimp quesadilla received two really goods. One from the italiana in Mexico and one from my other sweet angel daughter. The chipotle shrimp received a confident tastes good from my State 48 Tortoise loving son in law. The flounder eater in the group, my evil cowboy son in law said it was an eight. The ceviche loved by all at the table. Big hit. They gave us sourdough bread with garlic butter. A solid yum from all the family. We also had fried calamari. This, served with the ceviche and was a very distant second. The said, “it could be better”. Not a group hit.

Still, check it out. It’s worth it if you want shrimp.

The servers were super professional and took care of all we needed. I would return based on these solid men alone. The owner checked up on us. That was appreciated mucho!

The cowboy asked the question that begs being asked: “how can a restaurant called the Blue Marlin not serve marlin? I just wanted marlin tacos.”

Everything was perfect on our visit. The service was great and the food was excellent. The coconut shrimp was to die for!

I order Azteca Soup and Chipotle Shrimps and my husband a Flounder fill with crab. The bread was great with a garlic butter on the side and they bring a complementary Tuna smoke pâté and more Bread. Delicious!!!!

This place had some of the best food I've had in a while. The chips and salsa were great but the magical garlic green sauce was dangerously addicting. I poured it on everything I ate. The staff was professional and the outdoor seating is nice. The food came out pretty quickly and everything had a nice artistic touch to it. I highly recommend The Blue Marlin for anyone in the area.

This is the best restaurant in Puerto Peñasco (and top 3, anywhere!) I’ll be thinking about this restaurant and their food long after I leave, and I see myself making the trip back for this experience alone.
I’ve lived in the PNW my whole life, up until recently moving to AZ. Seafood is my favorite, so I came to Google/Yelp to find the best seafood on this trip. Thanks to other reviews, we ended up at The Blue Marlin last night.
We made reservations (for 2) and called in advance for the Seafood Tower. I believe you need to give at least 24 hour notice, as this item is not on their menu. We made our reservation the day prior to going.
When we arrived, we were greeted by the owner, and his friendly staff. He checked on our table, himself, throughout our stay; and it is evident how much he cares for his guests. We were seated inside, but they have patio options, and I love that the owner cares for the cats. My table and other guests enjoyed feeding them during our dining experience.
Their margaritas were perfect with a good amount of tequila! Most places water down their alcoholic drinks, but everything about this restaurant is quality. We started with bread and garlic butter and were given the choice between salad or soup. We chose the shrimp bisque, and it did not disappoint.
The Seafood Tower was unreal. 15+ options were arranged beautifully and a fun sparkler was lit for the perfect photo op. The coconut shrimp were the best I’ve had in my life. The oysters were fresh (and the fried ones were just as tasty!) Clams, mussels, crab, ceviche, calamari, and the list goes on and on. Everything was amazing.
I feel as if this review does not do this restaurant justice, so please try it for yourself and you will understand why this is the #1 spot for seafood in Puerto Peñasco!

Probably my favorite place to have a great Mexican dinner. Staff is outstanding, the margaritas amazing, the food incredible, and the atmosphere laid back. Great little off the beaten path restaurant. I have been coming here since my first time in Rocky Point.

This was the nicest place I’ve been to in Rocky Point so far. Really nice atmosphere and how everything was presented. The amazing bread with garlic butter was a delicious surprise we didn’t even know was included with dinner. The chunks of the garlic that was in there, OMG! The shrimp bisque was good even on a warm night. Tasted a bit like corn chowder. We both preferred the Carlos V shrimp and the sauce that came with it. Coconut shrimp was tasty as well but on the much sweeter side and I wanted savory. Everything tasted great and was cooked amazingly! Gracias por todos!

What a great restaurant! Elegant dining just off the Malecon. Truly fine service and food at an affordable price. One of the best restaurants in Penasco, without question.

Really good food. Got the clams. So good and cheap. Me and my husband got the shrimp and clam pasta and the flounder. Services was nice. We ended up feeding the cats around there. They were super sweet little ones

Great for dinner. It is by the Malecon downtown Rocky Point. Great atmosphere and the food was perfect. Great options everything was fresh.

Over a four day stay we tried several different restaurants in Rocky point. Blue Marlin was far and away the best of all. The food/value/service was excellent. Fresh homemade bread with delicious olive oil, fresh salad with their house dressing and excellent mains. I think our meal for the three of us was half of what it was at another place and the food was twice as good.

Excellent and friendly service, very good quality food for fair prices, and a nice terrace with lounge piano music.

We went to the Blue Marlin tonight for our 18th wedding anniversary. Everything was wonderful!! Absolutely perfect, quiet, romantic, adorable place with delicious food and warm, impeccable service. We’ve been to many of the restaurants in PP and this one s definitely at the top of my list. The owner is wonderful as well!

Excellent service and delicious food! We had the Flounder Au Gratin and the coconut shrimp with salads. Both were ver good. Margaritas were also great, strong but not over powering.

The location is not right on the water, but you can see the water and sunset. The ambiance is charming and inviting for a quaint dinner.

Intimate indoor dining room of eight or more tables, plus several on an outdoor deck just half a block from the malecon (old port waterfront). Sampled coconut shrimp and flounder au gratin so far ("swimming in the ocean this morning"), presented in ample portions with superb, distinguishable flavors, clearly crafted by an artisan chef. The large shrimps, encrusted in slightly sweet toasted coconut, are delicious and artfully served in a coconut shell with partial lower husk, nested in salad greens with mango-coconut salsa and buttery rice. Waiters are attentive but not obtrusive or solicitous, and will never present "la cuenta" until requested ("ah ... so soon?"). I look forward to sampling each of more than a dozen tempting creations, including steaks. This is affordable elegant dining.

A wonderful little place with the best seafood in Puerto peñasco at a reasonable price. We were greeted by the owner and made to feel at home our entire time there and the food was wonderful. The shrimp magnonette was incredible and the chocolate mousse dessert was amazing.

If you are looking for fresh quality sea food with a great taste, this place is outstanding! We tried the “Combinación Neptuno”, a 4 course combination for two (it is not in the menu) that was recommended for the friendly owner Homero Ortega. If you come to Rocky Point, you must try it!…
