Kalaw Heritage Hotel since 1903

The hotel is extremely beautiful and the original structure is well preserved. The atmosphere in the garden and the bar is wonderful. The breakfast buffet is very good and the choice is vast. Special mention for the staff: very kind and they went beyond their duty helping us solving some airline issues. We will come back for sure next time in Kalaw!

I had a great experience here and would gladly stay again if I were in Kalaw. The staff were all really friendly and it's a great value for the quality.

Rooms: it is the oldest hotel in Myanmar, so they have a nice rustic feel, but without feeling rundown. There's no Aircon, but it's not needed if you use the fan. Bathroom was clean and had all the toiletries you need during your stay.

Amenities: The onsite restaurant was fantastic. The Yangon Beef Potato Curry was really, really good. They also have a rundown, but serviceable tennis court and you can borrow rackets from the front desk. There are also bikes you can pay to rent, but they didn't work very well for me.

Location: Nice, quiet location, but still close enough to roam around Kalaw by foot. You could borrow a bicycle and explore that way too. We walked to a number of different restaurants and cafes within 15-20 minutes.

I stayed at the Kalaw Heritage Hotel recently. I was expecting the décor to be completely old-fashioned, but it's actually a hybrid of modern and traditional elements. The living room is especially charming, with its antique furniture that feels like it was made in the 1900s. I think it's a great example of how to preserve a historic building while also making it feel modern and inviting.

I like very much and suitable price.
It mini bar is really nice. I. Like the most thing in there is drinking wine in the compound yard which make us fantastic moment in the cold weather and breezy.
The hotel is an ancient one and no air condition is better feeling for me.

Definitely a must stay hotel if you visit Kalaw. A beautiful and tranquil place to stay and take photos. The staff are friendly, polite, and hospitable. The rooms are separated into three buildings - Pines (the main building with reception, lounge, bar, restaurant), Acorn, and Tudor. There is a lawn with furniture to relax and a tennis court to play tennis or badminton (equipment provided by the hotel for free). Rooms are cleaned daily and amenities are filled attentively. The restaurant food is also not bad with reasonable pricing. The breakfast experience can be improved by adding more variety of choices though; we had almost the same options for the entire duration of 4-day stay.

What a nice and quiet place to stay! The rooms are distributed among three old houses and ours was nicely in style, had a very comfortable bed, was very clean and good equiped. The hotel staff is very helpful even in organizing particular stations of your trip. The breakfast IS AMAZING!

Fantastic oasis in Kalaw. This truly old building was renovated lovely. You feel like 100 years in the past in an absolutely wonderful way. Food at the restaurant is really good. We tried a lot of it and were happy all the time.

Rooms are good, clean and gardening at this hotel make u feel you are in the Europe countries. Staffs are very humble as weel. High grade breakfast you can say , compare to other hotels. They have a tennis court, and a bon fire place for every night.

This is really a step back in time. Amazing service, good breakfast, and nice rooms. Wi-Fi doesn't really work, but that's to be expected in Myanmar. The atmosphere here is so classic though, and the staff speak great English. I would really recommend a stay in this place if you have the budget.

Comfort and stay wise I'd give 4 star. But they have nice garden which is nice to walk ard early morning. The staffs are helpful and kind enough to spray anti mosquito spray at night and also prepare and pack breakfast when we informed them early check out. The food may not be as good as proper breakfast but appreciate the effort.

The ancient place from colonial time, you can see ancient buildings, British time decoration and a nice place to relax. The bar is really really cozy and nice decoration. The staffs are very hospitable and the breakfast is amazing!

Of things, service is impeccable, rooms are great and the Chef knows what he is doing , best thing is the Wheat Beer German Style at the Bar.

The hotel has long history and the buildings are maintained well. We can enjoy the colonial style atmosphere. The food is also delicious and recommended.

The second earliest hotel in Myanmar. The hotel is beautiful and the old building is build with teak. Which is one of the sightseeing places in kalaw. Rooms are usually full at the time of festival.
