Ever Smile Kalaw Trekking Services

This is the most memorable hiking trip I ever had. The scenery is breathtaking and my first time experience living in village. This hiking is at least 20km. Please inform the guide if you need hitchhiking if the route is too challenging. It not expect Myanmar to have beautiful place to hike.

We did a 3 day trek with Mary as our guide and everything went perfect despite a little bit of rain along the path. Mary was an awesome guide and our group was super nice so we really bonded and enjoyed our 3 days together. Would 100% recommend and do it again if we come back to Myanmar

Amazing experience! We did the 3-day trek in November - no rain, limited mud, great weather but quite chilly at night so bring warm clothes (although warm blankets are provided). Flip flops or sandals are also a good idea as you will be taking your shoes off often to go inside rooms. Bring blister plasters and mosquito spray.
Our guide knew EVERYTHING and his English was amazing. Food was great with lots of vegan options and a lot of variety.
Really well timed and organized. We appreciated having route options as well.

What an incredible experience the 3 day 2 night trek was. Our guide (and now friend) Mina was absolutely amazing to us. She is full of energy and happiness and really makes you smile and laugh all day every day. She is full of knowledge about the local villages you pass through as well as the many different plants that can be used for medicine. Definitely ask for Mina as tour guide. You'll have the best time.

The trek itself is not 'easy' but definitely manageable and you'll be rewarded with beautiful views and welcoming smiles from the local village people. The night/mornings are quite cold so pack warm clothing.

The homestays are wonderful with really accomodating hosts. On our last night we sat around the campfire with some local kids and the owner and sang songs. It was a lovely experience.

You should definitely book with Ever Smile Trekking. You will not regret it :)

We did the three day trek with Su-Su, and we loved every minute of it. Varied surroundings, great views, and multiple routes to choose from the first and second day. We paid 40000 kyat per person, so we weren't expecting anything luxurious: there were bucket showers, squat toilets, and you sleep with your group in one big room. Still, the food was delicious, and more than enough for the entire group! I'd recommend this trek to any and everybody.

We did a 3d2n trekking. That was superb! Great guide and good food. Very nice to have this experience to trek along the country side in Myanmar with 40000 kyat. Absolutely worthy!

The trip was fascinating and the guide was very helpful as well! It was my first time to do a trekking (2D1N) and I really enjoyed it!

The trek to Inle Lake from Kalaw with Ever Smile was fantastic. It was great having our extra bags driven to the final destination to lighten the load. We were always very well fed and the accommodations where we stayed felt authentic and intimate. We enjoyed the group we trekked with and have remained friends with some of them even after our travels.

Totally worth it. 3 days through Myanmar countryside, great guides, great food. December was cold during the night so bring warm clothes. I think this was the best way expirience local life.

Had a wonderful one day trek around Kalaw and the surrounding countryside. Huge thanks to Aki who was absolutely brilliant! Completely customisable tour, so we were able to visit all the sights/villages that we wanted to. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back to do the Inle trek soon!!

Absolutely fantastic and amazing trekking from kalaw to Inle with scenic views and plenty of vegetation fields and hilly regions along the way. Reasonable pricing for the trekking services in kalaw. Our guide is well-experienced in the tracks and accommodating with many different trekking options along the way based on your fitness level. She also has a great communication skills that came with the experience.

It was a really good opportunity to visit local places in Myanmar, the food was amazing, the guide was ok!

We did a 3 day trek with Au and it was great fun! The group was a bit large but luckily we got along really well and enjoyed chatting to everyone.
I really enjoyed the food as well, there was plenty of food and choices and always catered to us vegans and the vegetarians.

My girlfriend and I were very thankful that we were able to meet up with Anastasia and Aki (guides) from Ever Smile (regretfully, we went with a different trekking agency). They were with big groups and we were a group of 2. Our guide did not know all the amazing spots like the sunset view just outside our village home stay. They graciously allowed us to join them and we even counted in the new year together with their great group. They were two very fun energetic and amazing people who we will never forget. They really made our trek extra special. I would highly recommend this trekking company especially these two guides if you’re lucky enough to get them for any trek from Kalaw to Inle!!!

We had an absolutely incredible time trekking with Aki, definitely the highlight of our time in Myanmar. Aki speaks perfect English and manages to give you an intimate experience with local life. One of our fondest memories from the trip is helping the local ladies picking chilis in the field, after which they invited us to sit down and have lunch with us. We were extremely well fed on the trip with delicious food at every stop (far more than we could eat). Aki also listened to what we wanted and was able to adapt the trip as we went so we could tailor it to what we wanted to see and do along the way. Can highly recommend Eversmile trekking and feel lucky to have met Aki, who we know now consider a friend. 10/10

Ran into Ever Smile Trekking by chance. It was the only trekking company open when I was in Kalaw mid August 2020. Ended up doing a full day trekking with the owner and I can't recommend it enough! Toe Toe is an amazing guide, super friendly, very knowledble and caring, both with her clients and the people who live in the villages we visited. You can tell she likes what she does and her life story is an inspiration. The trekking was great and she also gave us great advice on what to do in the city.

Among the huge offer of places to do the trekking in kalaw I decided to choose Ever Smile because of the name (I love smiles :)). It has been the best decision ever! The trekking was amazing! No tourists on our way! The first day we went through forest (but sometimes you felt like in jungle) and breathtaking view points. The second day we walked through villages and mountain. The last day also villages and forest till the lake. The overall trekking was amazing! The food that the family houses offered was delicious!!!!!! SUPER DELICIOUS! Our guide OhOh was the nicest person ever! She speaks very good english and has a lot of knowledge about Myanmar and all the tribes so she explained everything during the trekking and could answer all our questions. The accomodations were good, foutons on the floor with enough blankets to sleep warm in the cold nights. The prince is unreal, 40.000 kyat for everything is an awesome deal!!!! And it also includes a boat trip through the lake!!!! I encourage everybody to do it, and with ever smile you will smile :)

No reservations required. Show up by 8 am to depart at 9 am. Chose the 2-day trek due to time limitations but would love to do the 3-day. Very approachable—easy/moderate difficulty and great for inexperienced hikers/trekkers. Water is available for purchase on the trail but come prepared with snacks, toilet paper, basic toiletries, camp/shower sandals, and your own towel. The mornings/evenings during the winter are chilly enough so pack layers if you’re easily affected by the cold—rain is still a possibility so it doesn’t hurt to be prepared. The home stay is quite comfortable and the villages on the trek are absolutely lovely. Very worthwhile experience and an incredible value. The rice in the area is harvested once a year in November so the fields are quite barren during the winter but our guide introduced us to all the edible plants on the trail and we had the opportunity to see the chili pepper harvest, turmeric, ginger, and mustard seeds as well. Highly recommend this experience.
