မြင်းဒိုက်​ရထားဘူတာ Myin Daik Railway Station

It is 6 miles a way far from Kalaw railway station . And , the other side of station is Sin Daung Station .There is two tunnels between them . According to the old people told me , one of the locomotive trainer ( French Man ) stayed in Myin Dike station and trained local trainees . He ate only patato and that is surprising for me .

This station is the next station from kalaw train station. It's good to do half day trekking aroung kalaw and take the train back to kalaw. There are Several different trekking routes from this village. The scenary from this village is nice and the views from the top of some mountains are very beautiful.

It is a small railway station called Myin Daik Railway Sation. The station between Sin Taung railway station and Kalaw railway station. We can buy local products such as fresh seasonal vegetables, lovely flowers and delicious local foods. Peoples in there are very friendly and selling the products with cheap prices.

Myin Daik is a pretty little station tucked away at the end of a dirt road branching from Kalaw (take right a short distance after the local UDP and NLD offices, just before the sharp bend leading uphill to the Hotel Kalaw Hill Lodge). It was almost half an hour drive from Kalaw and about 20 min train ride to Kalaw.

It was quiet yet bursting with people leading their normal livelihoods of farming, distributing goods to other parts of Burma and selling food and snacks to travellers. There was no loud or forced hustling of vendors. Local farm produce such as cabbages, cauliflowers and mustard were packaged in large bags and loaded onto the train within the time allowed to stop there.

Large instalments of aged train gadgets for shunting rails, signaling and rolling lines of demarcation of the station were here and there.. identifying itself as an old train station on the line between Thazi and Shwe Nyaung. This has been and still is probably the only functioning railway line in the southern Shan State. Thazi is the main crossroads between the Yangon-Mandalay line and the Shan line whereas Shwe Nyaung is the terminal station.

Beautiful pea flowers were blooming everywhere. The hazy mountains (or probably smoky due to fire to clear up the land for step farming) served as a scenic backdrop you would be mesmerized at. Occasional cool breezes complete the ethos of this little train station. It was indeed the highlight of my last Kalaw trip with close friends.
