Golden Kalaw

It was soo nice to be here! We were welcomed with a big heart and the staff was always very kind :) for breakfast we had toast, jam and scrambled eggs! Check out the beautiful roof top for sunset and sunrise!

Super friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, great roof top terrace with a nice view especially at sunset. The place to stay in Kalaw! Tracking can also be organized from there. We did the one-day track to the viewpoint and enjoyed alot

Excellent stay for an affordable price. The lady in the reception (the owner) is very helpful and explained us all about Kalaw. Breakfast is good. They even have a nice rooftop with a beautiful view of the town and the sunset.

Spent 3 nights in Kalaw and can recommend the place to everyone. The owner was very, very nice and helpful. She gave as a bigger room because we stayed longer than most of the other guests, was helping with a lot of information and asking regularly if everything is okay or if we needed something. Delicious breakfast with fresh fruits from the market.

Perfect stay! I went sick during my stay here and the owner took realy good care of me and checked in reguarly to see how I was doing. Amazing!! The rooms are good, breakfast is good, rooftop has beautifull view and the staff is wonderfull. The shower was oké and wifi works only downstairs in the common area, but there it works perfect, and why do you need wifi everywhere anyway?

Good price, convenient location, and friendly staff. The receptionist gave us a map of kalaw and some ideas of things to do, such as visit the mountain top pagoda for 360 views of the mtns and towns. Pancakes for breakfast were delicious. Rooftop deck is a nice place to sit and read while enjoying the sunset.

I had a very bad cold when I arrived into Kalaw. For the past few days I have been staying at the Golden Kalaw and have received amazing hospitality while being here. Everyone that works here has been so sweet and beyond generous. From making sure we have extra blankets, food, and water to bringing mr familiar medicine from my home country and recommending ways to feel better and make sure we are outmost comfortable while being here. The list goes on and I give the highest recommendations to the Golden Kalaw and it's loving staff!

We spent one night here before our trekking to Inle Lake. We arrived in very early morning. We paid half price to check in right away. The hostess is very helpful.

An excellent place to stay in Kalaw. It has a good variety of rooms to rent and the lady running it has a good grasp of English and is extremely friendly and helpful in all matters

Lovely hotel to rest before trek. Very helpful lady takes care of you and will organise pick up by your desired trek company

The owner is super friendly and helpful. She helped us to book our hostel in Inle Lake and to find a guide for our 3days trekk.
