Hillock & Honeymoon Villa - Bed & Breakfast

The hotel is in a quiet leafy part of town set within beutiful gardens. The room was very comfortable and clean, with a duvet and a blanket which meant we were warm during the cool nights. The feather pillows are the most comfortable we have slept on in Myanmar!

The breakfast is amazing, with a variety of options. It is served in the garden which is a lovely way to start the day.

The staff are very kind and helpful. We would love to come back.

It has a nice landscape and good room features. It is good for honeymooners, writers, solo travelers, vacationers and who plan to travel for leisure should choose this unique Bed & Breakfast. It provides green scenery and good service for those travelers. Make it cool yourself at Hillock Villa - Bad & Breakfast. Kalaw and this B & B are matched with their unique styles. It will give you a different taste when you are in Kalaw.

The hotel staff were friendly! It is just about 5 to 10 minute walk to Kalaw market. At the same time, it offered a peaceful environment, being located on a hill surrounded with all the pine trees. So, the location had the best of both worlds! The room was nicely decorated! The breakfast there was good!

Hillock Villa is in a very peaceful part of Kalaw, which counts for a lot if you’ve ever experienced the Kalaw Street Dog Night Chorus in downtown.
The beautiful green surroundings are complimented by the cool and comfortable rooms which have all the modern amenities you’d expect like charging points, coffee, tea, towels and bathroom packs. There are swing sofas, yoga classes and more available as well.
Breakfast is excellent; freshly cooked with complimentary fresh fruits.
The staff couldn’t be nicer or more helpful.
WiFi speeds are slow, good enough for web browsing or chat, but no more.
Overall, highly recommended.

We stayed here for two nights and it was a very pleasant stay. Our room was spacious and cosy. The house is surrounded by a beautiful garden, perfect to relax a bit. The staff is very friendly. And the breakfast and the food they serve is delicious. One of the best we had in Myanmar.

We absolutely loved staying here, and we wish we had spent more than one day in Kalaw before our trek. Amazing breakfast, comfortable beds, and peaceful location to relax. If you want to check in around 4 am, make sure you book that night so you can get your room right away -- we did so, and it was seamless + definitely worth it. Had a bit of trouble charging multiple devices, as the one outlet in the room wasn't reliable. This place is a must-stay in Kalaw, and we'd love to come back!

Great place to stay and relax! It's quiet and peaceful while only a few minutes from centre of town. Large rooms and a very welcoming and pleasant staff with free water refills. Also the breakfast was best we've had till now in Myanmar. Downsides are that rooms are a bit noisy (wooden) and doors squeek.

It's a very nice place to relax and pleasure time during our trip. We had a great time in hillock. Fair room price, services are great and breakfast is so good especially local Shan noodles. You can get plastic free coffee at their lobby. Daily room services and laundry service provided. Green landscaping is the most attractive to me. This is my favourite Villa in Kalaw. It is the best place for both local and tourists.

Very quiet and small location that provides a warm experience. The staff is very helpful, will try to accomadate anything you need. Breakfast is served outside, which can be difficult in off weather, but provides a beautiful view with fresh air. Rooms are clean and comfortable. No problems with noises on our stay. Close to the best restaurant in Kalaw, New Simple Life Café.

This place is run and operated by a lady who is really accommodating and genuinely nice. She speaks fluent English.
Cozy room.

Please note that the below is not compliant but some little things that you might find a tidbit annoying:
1) no television
2) no telephone
3) no heater
4) squeaking noise from plumbing
5) no soundproofing wall.

We stayed 3 nights. They have a 24h reception, so for those who arrive by night bus in the middle of the night, no worries. We booked the night before we arrived because the hotel tends to be fully booked, so I would not expect to be able to do an early check-in. Breakfast was very good, everything homemade. The hotel is about 15/20 min walk from the bus stop.

Location is great. Very near to Kalaw market but it's on a hilly landscape and among many pine trees. Rooms are clean. Breakfast area is in the front yard and it is my favorite thing in this place. Highly recommended.

This place is what I would call a home away from home. The hospitality is amazing, the staff of Hillock goes an extra three miles to sort out things, get special orders and help you with out of the ordinary requests. The location is perfect, breakfast delicious and rooms awesome with the most comfy beds. If I am in Kalaw I would stay here again. Thank you for everything 😃

Absolutely amazing accomodation. The villas are great. Good bed and bathroom. It's also beautiful (see picture). The staff is very friendly and the breakfast very good. Not sure what more to say than highly recommend this place!

I accidentally found this HOTEL very early in the morning when I drove to Kalaw. Around 3 or 4am, I was quite sleepy and didnt notice that much about beauty. When I woke up, omg.. breakfast area at sunrise are very superb and stunning. There are many pine woods around Villa and feel like it is somewhere in England.
There is a fireplace in the room but didnt allow to make a fire just for a decoration. They provides free breakfast with choices (local or european). Staffs are helpful and so simple. Staying there, you will feel big sense of peace and nature.

Nice hotel, friendly and very helpful staff. The gardens surrounding the houses are beautiful.
We arrived late and the staff organised food from town for us. Breakfast is one of the best I had on travels.

Looking for a serene eco-friendly get-away spot to avoid heat, chaos, and stress? This is such a gem on top of the mountains in Kalaw. You wake up to birds chirping and the breakfast is glorious, not to mention the genuine hospitality rendered by professional management who treats you like family.

Great Breakfast Selection, location is very convenient in the center of Kalaw, super friendly Owner. The Rooms are nice and even have a Bathtub , great Value For Money. I be back.

I love shan coffee and nice environment . Cool breeze passing through the pine forest , bring good smell to you .
