Byeolmaro Observatory

It was really unforgettable experience. For the price of 7000 won it is so worth it.
Even though the explanation only available in Korean, you still can expect some understanding at least from the picture and graph.

Pray for the weather! If you have good weather that day, definitely you will see stars!

This place is very nice. It has several rooms decorated to take nice pictures, it is a good place to go with family, friends or couple. The night view was wonderful.

It was so pretty! Very good spots for taking pictures and videos and breathtaking view of the city. I especially loved the room with the stars ^^

Built on the top of Mount Bongnaesan (799.8 m) in Yeongwol-gun County, Pyeolmaro Observatory is the largest astronomical observatory in Korea, where you can observe the moon and stars with a main telescope with a diameter of 80 cm and additional telescopes.

It’s a pity that the entrance to the observatory was closed during the visit, but that’s okay. but we took a lot of cool photos with panoramic views of the city.

What an amazing place to go at night to see the stars and the skyline of this beautiful town. The way up there was quite scary yet very interesting thanks to our taxi driver who was simply awesome.

This cafe has incredible view outside. I recommend to visit after sunset you can see the city with the light and a bit sunlight left. There are speechless view I ever seen. Love it

my first time to go to observatory.
it was just perfect and so beautiful.
I could see many stars and learn about it
also could see the moon in detail so did other stars.
you must go up and see beautiful yeongwol.
I promise you wont be boring:)
you will feel like to come this place again

There's a cafe and a beautiful view like youve never seen at sunset. Good for a checklist activity in this area. Do the hike to the observatory if you dare, it's a good tough one.

The view is fantastic. Paragliding also available.Parking lots and cafe are nice. Coffee and special 799 beverage are pretty good. First of all, you can enjoy watching down the city and some of paragliders too. Just sit and take a deep breath and see all the breathtaking views.

Amazing views. Nice being on top of the mountain. The weather was really cool. Not many people could go visit the place because of the weather. I was lucky that Ive experienced and discovered this place in Korea. Thanks to all our christian friends who made it possible and Glory to God for this wonderful creation.

It's on the top of the mountain, so you should ride a taxi and pay 15000 won for a round trip.(it's a fixed price by the gov) Don't let the drivers lie to you lol

일출이 보고 싶어 해뜨기전 다녀왔다
길이 좁아 천문대주차장 직전에 정체로
차안에서 해뜨는것을 못볼 수도 있겠다 싶었다
차로 올라갈 수 있는 운해맛집이라 많은 사람들이
방문해서 나름의 대책이 필요할거 같다.
운해도 보고 일출도 보고 잘 다녀왔다.
