은나무 삼청동점

It's a lovely corner store that seems inconspicuous and unassuming with its affordable accessories on its external shelves, but if you wander in, you'll come to realise a wide assortment of delicately and characteristically hand crafted jewellery.

From semi-precious stones to diamonds and gold plated to pearls, there is something for every lady at heart.

I popped in years ago before the pandemic and stepping in yesterday, the lovely lady, Miss "Saeyeon" was there, manning the store as she did so many years ago.

In a street where so much has changed, it is lovely to see these artisanal stores continue to do what they do best, translating their talent and vision to affordable wearable art pieces.

I'd recommend walking in if you're about town, they don't pressure sell, and are very handy with information and assisting with the piece that's most suitably yours.

Sweety cake

감고당길(옛풍문여고 정문 또는 현재 덕성여고길에서 정독도서관 정문 앞 사거리에 이르는 길) 끝 부분 정독도서관 정문 앞 사거리 전에 있는 멋진 은세공 전문 악세사리 공방이다. 3명의 여성작가의 작품들을 전시하고 판매도 하는 상점인데, 상호만큼 건물의 외관도 아름답다.
건물을 바라보며 감탄을 하고 사진을 찍은 후(주변 관광객들은 대부분 그렇게 한다.)들어가면 너무도 아름다운 동화세상이 펼쳐진다.
개인 작가의 창작품이어서 조작권 문제로 사진을 찍지 못하는게 아쉬울 따름이다. 세공품 하나하나가 정말 아름답고 생명이 있는것 같다.
북촌과 인사동에 국적없는 상점과 품격없는 가게, 관광객의 주머니만 노리는 상술이 판을 치고 있어 아쉬운데 이런 숖들이 자꾸 들어서야 한다. 인사동과 북촌이 그명성을 계속 유지하려면 지역상점 주인들과 건물주, 관공서 모두 인식의 전환을 하고 각성해야 한다. 너무도 훌륭한 상점들과 전시공간이 싸구려들에 밀려 사라져 간다.
