Yeongnamnu

This is one of the most beautiful and historic places in our city. From the main street below, you walk up a set of stone steps, pass under an old wooden gate, and enter the world of the past. Yeongnamlu is called a pavilion, although many westerners will think of it as a temple. The Pavilion grounds are very well maintained. There are historic signs, restroom facilities, and sometimes there are even historic reenactments up here. If you take your shoes off, you are allowed to enter the actual pavilion itself, which gives you a breathtaking view of the central portion of the city. Yeongnamlu is halfway up the hill. If you continue climbing, there is an actual temple and an even more impressive view of the city. If you visit Miryang, this is the one place that should definitely be at the top of your to-visit list.

Great pavilion, awesome view over the river and the city. The upper locations include the remains of a wall from when it was a defensive position on the river. They have information in English as well as Korean.

I didn't think go to Yeongnamlu but, after I ate a bowl of pork rice soup, I just wanted to walk around there, so that I found this place near the restaurant.
It was really cool and can get some fresh air through a river I don't know the name, though ~~
Anyway, there were lots of people who might also want to stay at some cool place, I supposed.
I do recommend you who's planning to go there in case must have to drop by there.

really cool place to stay. I recommend here from spring to fall. even summer in snow, it will be show you a good scenary. no fee to enter.

Picturesque place. Avoid noisy old people around.

Great view of Miryang. Beautiful place to go for a stroll. Not a lot of people so you can take a lot of cool pics.

Really nice fortified park, temple with a very nice view on Miryang, great for healthy walk!

영남루의 매력

The charm of Yeongnamru

Yeongnamru is a beautiful building in itself, but its location overlooking the Miryang River boasts an even more special view. The night view is especially beautiful, so you can enjoy an even more beautiful view if you visit in the evening. There is a similar building in Ulsan called Taewharu. Be sure to visit Taewharu when you travel to Ulsan.

Traditional play experience

At Yeongnamru, you can experience various traditional games such as Jegichagi, Soegurigi, and Tuho. If you visit with children, they will have a great time experiencing traditional games.

Around Yeongnamru

The area around Yeongnamru is full of various things to see and eat, such as Miryang Arirang Market. In particular, Miryang Pork Gukbap is one of Miryang's representative foods, and I recommend you try it after visiting Yeongnamru.
