Gongju Gongsanseong Fortress

Quite a nice place to take a stroll! The fall foliage in particular made it even nicer to enjoy and a good place for pictures. Great for families as well as it's a wide open space with lots of space for kids to run or maybe even have a picnic. Great views of the nearby river and across the river also has a park with flowers worth checking out.

This is a nice place with amazing views all around, and where centuries-old history and gorgeous nature combine. Great for walking and seeing of the sunset!

Very nice place to visit in autumn! The views from the fortress are beautiful and watching the foliage was quite enjoyable. The place was not crowded at all what is always a plus when traveling on a weekend.

A beautiful fortress to walk around~~ The wall is a great place to take a walk and enjoy the view of the city. It is particularly lovely during fall!

One of the memorable places - nice view with hilly walk (a bit scary though when you walk close to the edge). We met a rabbit on the grass and it was adorable!

Amazing view and hiking. Most satisfied place i visited in Gongju-si. Free to park but parking lot is some small. But i think you could park on sideroad at weekend. Not like a Seoul. Anyway here is best place to hike for a hour.

A nice cool hike in a historic fortress. You can tell why the Baekje chose it for a site to built on. Good food near by. Gorgeous views. Always a good time

Good for hiking and sightseeing

Entrance fee was about 1200 won i think? Can't recall exactly but it was cheap and worth the price! Theres an archery practice area near the entrance, need to pay i think but really shabby looking, didn't try. A place to buy drinks as well near the entrance. If you're going to walk around the whole fortress and see everything, have some drinks and prepare at least an hour and a half. Plenty of nice views and photos to take too. Went in May, the number of bugs flying everywhere was insaneeee.

Also if you're new to Gongju, very good place to start. At the main entrance near the road, plenty of maps in multiple languages to take. It helped me alot in planning what to do here.

Loved the fortress and the work going on here to excavate and reconstruct. All the staff were friendly and doing frequent historical renactments of the Baekje military parades. It was a beautiful if tiring walk round the walls but worth it.

Great place to have a walk. Lots of trees and the road is not very steep.

Bring your camera and comfortable shoes. Lots of walking and views.

This is a magnificent place to visit. The walk around the fortress wall was very enjoyable.
