Gongju Hanok Village

This is an interesting place to walk through to see how Koreans used to live in a village setting. You only need 30 minutes to walk through the entire site. You can also rent homes in the village and stay in them overnight like a hotel to have a "traditional" Korean experience.

Interesting area with historical artifacts & buildings. This setting was very worthwhile our time.
Roasted chestnuts were tasty too.

Cute little traditional village. Nice area, but kind of touristy. Some good restaurants in the area, and the walls of the village are decorated with interesting murals reflecting its traditional past.

If you are interested in staying at a korean tranditional house , I strongly recommend you to check this place out. Gongju is a beautiful and historical city where you can see great scenery and a couple of unesco herritages. Houses are cozy and clean. It has pretty much everything what's needed to stay a night.
