KT&G Sangsangmadang

Super fun shopping district, there were street performers, lots of colorful items and some good accessory you will finds in the street stores. We stumbled upon KT&G Sangsangmadang, a stationery and lifestyle store located at the entrance of Hongdae. Seeing the large number of people around, my curiosity led us to explore what was inside. To my surprise, I discovered a wide variety of lifestyle products with unique and charming designs. While the prices are I should say reasonable some my say a bit dearer. The store has had a variety of excellent designs that make it worth the visit. KT&G Sangsangmadang offers a captivating range of products that are unique and a delightful shopping experience for anyone who appreciates innovative, modern designs and artful lifestyle items.

Super cute shop! I only shopped at the first level which has all the cute stationary and Korea designer goods. If you are into Korean artists and shops like InsideObject, you should totally visit this store. It is right smack near the rainbow road of hongdae. Cute stickers, pouches, key rings, soft toys, cups, blankets, postcards and more.

Only vistes the first 2 floors for shopping. Found lots of cute local art like stickers and art prints. They also have ceramics and other handmade/designed Korean items.

The coffee shop is on the 3rd floor, comfortable seating, free wifi. There are clean bathrooms, there are works of art.

The lower level of this place is a wonderful spot to see independent films. Probably a good idea to make reservations, though, as they seem to sell out most shows. Note that shows start exactly at the stated time.

There is a stationary shop on the ground level. There are art spaces elsewhere in the building, but I haven't visited.

This is a wonderful place to get souvenirs and support local artists. Not all gifts are super travel friendly, however most are and there is a wide variety of items from office, knick-knacks, homegoods, bathroom supplies, tea sets and more. This place has everything (modern). You would be hard-pressed to find traditional goods here.

The main attraction here seems to be the store that sells all kind of pretty thing you want but don't need. The building also contains a small theatre as well as a cinema that shows artsy fartsy films. What more can an artsy fartsy person ask for?

It's easy to spend an hour or more browsing the design shops on the first and second floors. They also always have intesting exhibitions (some free), concerts, and films. A good stop on a Hong Dae day.

Best place to find unique stationary and home bits. There is a coffee shop on the third floor that served one of the best coffees I had in seoul. Definitely coming back!

EDIT: They are open again. As good as before.

It used to be a nice shop for gifts. However, they are closed now. Not sure if this is temporary or if they will open again after renovations.
