Really cool spot. Bought two games for my switch.
Cool to find a Japan only release game “dragon quest x”
Much better pricing than ahikabara in Tokyo.

Greatest video game store I've been to in Japan! They had so many great games, retro and new and out of all the stores I've been to they had the cheapest prices for every game! I will be coming back here every time I come to Japan

Honestly one of the better stores I went to during this trip hunting for retro games. Actually had Super Famicom games hanging with the labels pointing out towards customers for a bunch of notable games (which isn't a knowing English vs. knowing Japanese thing, most SNES in the Japanese market don't have the roll-over the top label so that you can see what they are when they're all stacked sideways like the US games do, instead they're like N64 carts).
Based on how much you buy you get to spin a Bingo style wheel at the end and get treats or loose Pokemon cards.
Prices on the used games were very reasonable. Everyone was nice. Absolutely recommend coming in.
If you're staying in a different part of town the train line to get down here is really easy to use, I went straight from here and walked to the Inari shrines/mountain and made an absolutely perfect day of it (plus you get to come in on the less packed side of the mountain).

Kind of an awesome place, bought some retro games. Spun a giant wheel, won 30 Pokemon cards and $5 off 😂

Easily the best gaming/retro/trading card shop in Kyoto. Great prices on the games especially. Very polite staff too! ^^

Very honest and not scummy like other card shops I have seen in Japan, will actually show you the issue with their cards, very honest and fair pricing!

Excellent service. The person who attended us took the required time to understand our needs. My kid is very happy with the advice she provided us. She tested the game we were about to buy in order to ensure that it was working in French on a European console. Furthermore there were a large selection of retro-games that impressed our children. Probably the best shopping experience we had in Japan during our stay over there (July 2019).

Great selection of games modern and retro. Got 2 N64 controllers for 15 bucks each! Also a ton of yugioh and pokemon cards.

Friendly and helpful staff who try their best to help the customer! They speak some English, better, in fact, than many of the other Japanese who I spoke to. The staff knew the English name of all the games and consoles I asked about. The shop is a little small and is packed full with every retro game console and game you can dream of! They also do sell modern game consoles and games (Xbox 360, PS4, Nintendo Switch etc.)

A great place to stop by after a busy Kyoto touristic day since it closes at 10pm. We actually went walking after doing the Fushimi inari.
Very good prices overall and as always when it comes to theses places in Japan, full of games, consoles and more from every generation of VideoGames.

This is one of the best places to find retro games in Kyoto. Prices are Good, not Akihabara prices, but not cheap like Book-Off. Right in the middle.
Protip: If you are a foreigner, have a list of what you are looking for ready. Don't waste everyones time going back and forth one item at a time. Have the item name in Japanese if you can. Even Better, have a picture of the box art ofthe item you are looking for.
This will make it a pain free interaction for you, the clerk and everyone else waiting behind you.
