Kimono Daiyasu

Absolutely perfect shop, the staff are nothing but smiles and helpful. My dad loves Japanese fabric so i bought him some small pieces from here as a souvenir. I don't have enough space in my luggage this time for a whole kimono but when i come back, this will be one of the first places i consider buying from!

Absolutely perfect experience. My brother and I speak almost no Japanese but wanted to get kimonos before we returned home. Dude didn’t speak English but was on top of EVERYTHING. He was perfect, found us solid outfits, gave us a little lesson on putting the kimonos on. They had loads of options. Really grateful for how hard they worked for us.

Purchased complete kimono and yukata for an upcoming tea ceremony. Colleagues helped me find a kimono of light airy silk fabric which fit like a glove, perfect for the warm summer months. I was delighted by the color palate we achieved across kimono elements. In store colleagues briefed me on kimono elements and etiquette. Overall a delightful experience to the end; one colleague even assisted me in flagging a taxi after shopping.

An extremely welcoming place! Extremely pleasant and polite staff that can speak English are more than happy to explain how to put on the kimonos, what to look for, various styles, and the like! Many great options and very friendly to new kimono buyers from abroad, highly recommend!

As a foreigner, I can say the staff was really nice and helped where they could. I found everything I needed for the Gion Matsuri festival.

They were incredibly helpful to someone who spoke no Japanese and was completely ignorant to the subtleties and complexities of Kimono and Yukata.
There is also tax free shopping available.

They were very helpful and had some great items.
I purchased a few things there and wanted more.

行って三本ほど持ってきていただいちゃいました。ありがたし。
仕立てはほぼ一ヶ月、意外と早いし、丁寧。

軽い気持ちで立ちよりましたが、帯の種類はもちろんとにかく着物の種類の豊富さが圧巻でした。一つ一つ丁寧に説明していただき、とても勉強になりました。古く渋い模様のものから可愛らしいものまであります。着物好きな方は是非

初心者の人向けのサービスにも最近力を入れ始めたそうで、分かりやすかったかなーと
観光客向けを押してる訳ではないので、観光地っぽくない一方、外国の友達に紹介するのはイマイチですが、その辺はトレードオフなので仕方ないですね

京都へ行ったら、帰り際の〔だいやす〕。二階へ上がってじっくり一時間は選ぶ。何がしかに必ず出会える店。薄紅の絹芭蕉、結城紬のバーゲン3万以下、三猿名古屋帯あたりはここで掘り出した！
