Incredible little shop on the fourth floor with a gorgeous collection of ceramics (plates, bowls, cups, etc.), from local artists. Owner is kind, knowledgeable, and an expert and wrapping items carefully and thoroughly for transport.

Despite being in Japan I still find it difficult to find authentic wabi-sabi ceramics made by artisans. Most of what you find accross Japan are industrial pieces made to look like handmade but its provenience can be spot miles away if you look carefully. Here you can find the real deal, at a honest price. If you love this type of ceramics you have to make a visit! 💚

This place has an incredible collection of contemporary ceramicists work from all over Japan. The owner shipped items I’d purchased back home for me to Australia when I went to visit. This is a must visit for anyone who loves ceramics.

Beautiful little ceramics shop. Hard to find like everyone else is saying. If the pin is showing it's above a Lawson's, it's not. If you're looking at the front of the Lawson from the main street, take a right, head to the next intersection, take a left and you'll see the entrance to the building there. The studio is up on the 4th floor.

This is a highly recommended pottery shop in Kyoto.
There are various artists' works, but there are many pottery that give you a feel of the texture of the soil.

Sophisticated and beautiful ceramics in a contemporary take on traditional styles. Definitely worth a visit if you like pottery. When you arrive enter the stairs which look like a residential block and go up a few flights of steep steps to find it.

Beautiful industrial space on the 4th floor of the indicated building (entrance on the side of the big street) great ceramics for reasonable prices, friendly staff.

Fantastic products. But note... the location in google maps is not correct! It is in fact located in the neighboring street and... on the 4th floor. It quite difficult to find - but it’s worth the effort 👍🏻

Be advised that potteris and dishware here are extremely gorgeous and artistic but expensive.

お皿多くある。寡黙な感じかとおもったら話すと結構色々アドバイスをくれる店主。雰囲気よい。梱包はしっかり目にしてくれた。ひと皿4000円前後で、大きいものは1万円くらい。

以前一度訪れて、好みな器が多くとても気に入ったので再訪。
ビルも素敵なんです。
京都に行ったら必ず訪れたい。

土感のあるうつわをメインに扱ってらっしゃる素敵なお店です。個人的にも京都には繊細で女性的なうつわを扱うお店が多く、少し綺麗すぎて使いにくいなぁと思っていたのですが、こちらは男性的な野生味あふれる器が多く、ラインナップが魅力的です。
また、商品点数が多いのが素晴らしい。
料理が好きなので、この食事の時に使うこんなうつわが欲しい！というのを叶えてくれて痒いところに手が届くというか。
うつわの大きさや微妙な口の開き、高さなどにちゃんとこだわりたい時に、色々な選択肢があるのはありがたいです。
店主さんはお若い方ですかセンスも知識も素晴らしかったです。京都のうつわ業界をさらに盛り上げて引っ張ってって欲しいです。

京都に行く時は絶対に通っている大ファンです。

当時は大阪の靱公園の側にお店がありました。
今は京都に移転をしておられます。

店主の距離感が本当に気持ちよくて、目線を気にする事なく好きな器を探せます。
