Most competitively priced ski hire in the valley. Reception staff were lovely (thank you Tia and Mark!) and the boys in the ski shop were helpful with recommendations for beginner slopes.

The customer service was amazing! From Kirra at reception to Zach knowing exactly which board was perfect for my skill level.

Hired skis for 5 days... but because of the Snow Machine Festival, there wasn't a big choice for excellent rentals. But they were relatively cheap and the service was good...

But I always say you get what you pay for.... Other places offered transport for you and your skis to your accommodation, we had to walk and then catch the shuttle bus back to Echoland.

Additionally, their opening hours were very limited, so we had to spend a few hours in the bar before we could take them back at 4pm 🤣

But I did enjoy the skis... they were quite short but heaps of fun!!!

The guys in the shop were nice guys doing their best (we felt sorry for them) but it didn’t make up for the gear which was in really poor condition. Fitting was a mad rush because they were only open between 4pm and 7pm so there was an influx of people and two staff. We had 8 people in our group and half were beginners. Four out of 7 skiers got shin bang from poorly fitted gear and no time to teach them how to buckle/adjust properly. Would not recommend

You get what you pay for I guess.

Definitely one of the cheaper options for ski/ board hire in Hakuba. I’d recommend doing your research beforehand and think about paying a little bit extra for higher quality gear.

I ended up with boots that were not sealed properly and boarded with wet feet for our last 3 days. Two of my mates had dodgy bindings which could have ended badly when we were going at speed. Lucky the snow was good for most of our stay otherwise this would have been a pretty average experience.

There’s a couple helpful blokes in the shop but the ones that dealt with us didn’t seem to want to give us the time of day. Definitely check out your options before making any decisions but if the snow is good you’ll hopefully have a great time at Hakuba regardless.

being a cheap option for ski hire in hakuba, you can’t expect top notch gear, but my experience was horrible. was given a pair of ski pants that wasn’t water proof, jackets with holes in them, torn up boots, a board with terribly loose bindings, and all the gear was overall in poor condition. after discussing these issues with ski hire hakuba, they didnt seem to care. would not recommend.

Super bad experience with Ski Hire Hakuba. Firstly, reservation is without any email confirmation. They charged me for reservation even when the shop is closed and I could not pick up the equipment. Call in to ask for refund and they refuse to do so. Write multiple email to their official address, there is zero response. It felt like a scam.
