Hakuba Mountain Harbor- The City Bakery

This is a perfect spot to chill if you go to the Hakuba Ski Resort. They have plenty of options in drinks or bread for you to choose, you know, grab a bite while enjoying the perfect view of the hakuba mountain.

The bread of this bakery is really really good. You may find salty and sweet options, my recommendations would be the cinnamon roll and the marshmallow (it's like a piece of cloud).

You can enjoy your time outdoors and indoors. Don’t miss this!

Food is delicious! Eating and drinking at high miles. The view is stunning and amazing!

Prefer to sit outdoors, enjoy the scenery and watching tourist from local and international to take photos at the tourist spot.

It’s up top of the Hakuba Iwatake Moutain Resort so take the Gondola Noah at the bottom (¥2,400 roundtrip). We came here on New Year’s eve. It was raining & foggy but it cleared up for a bit and the view was 💯💯. Coffee & Croissant are quite good. I order Orange Mocha (seasonal menu) and I was so impressed. Croissan is buttery and yummy! Worth the visit

Good idea to put a coffee shop near to observatory deck. It was cold but the food and drinks was amazing.

Recommend to buy their homemade marshmallow. Add it to your hot drink for more yums.

The view is SPECTACULAR. The cafe latte could be improved. The balcony viewpoint gas a useful wooden stand where you can place your camera to take a selfie. The croissant was perfect, crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside.

The view from the cafe is legit, but we were also impressed by the tasty food we ate! I live that I like in a place where I can have an amazing view with great food. The croissant sandwiches were actually really tasty, as were the scones and cookies. We especially enjoyed the maple bacon scone we tried. If you’re skiing in Iwatake, this is definitely where you want to eat lunch. The dog park is also right beside the cafe if you’re coming with pets.

Great spot to grab a coffee and pastry. Their homemade marshmallow and double chocolate white cookies are delicious!

Nice quaint cafe with beautiful scenic views, good coffee and yummy croissants. Take Noah Gondola up to Iwatake snowfield, it’s tucked away in one of the corners. Worth the trip!

Snow is thick up there, so just wear ur ski gear up with snowboots.

Probably serving the best hot chocolate among all the slopes in Hakuba valley! The earl grey biscuit with chocolate chucks is delicious, lightly sweet with bittersweet chocolates. The view is unbeatable - the white mountain, the dressed up trees, the valley - the snow storm painted a great picture.

Cute little bakery on top of the mountain, amazing view. Croissant sandwich is super crispy and yummy, good to have it with the clam chowder as a quick on the slope lunch.

Amazing panoramic view over the mountains. was very lucky to have a sunny and calm day. Nice staffs, good place to chill after your session. No waiters, all items are take out. Please clean up your place when you leaving, there's a trash can.

Coffee, light meals and views are all great!
You can stay cool even in the summer.
The famous croissant may be sold out in the morning, so it is recommended to come early

BEST PLACE IN IWATAKE FOR VIEW WITH A COFFEE!
We took the Gondola to the top of the mountain (about $18AUD) and walked through the woods to find this gorgeous brown building overlooking the mountains!
Absolutely incredible views!
As you approach it, you go into the right side to order your coffee and choose your cake, then take it across to the left side where there is seating inside (nice and warm) and fantastic views across the mountains.
Head back outside and they have a little wooden stand where you can put your phone or camera to take photos.
Genius! And one of the best places I've found in Hakuba for a non-skier!

Worth visiting!

Located in the top of Iwatake ski field, you’ll get to enjoy the great view of snow-capped Japan Alps while enjoying coffee. You don’t have to be a skier, just take the ropeway(mountain cable car) and to the top of the mountain and walk just a little bit from the station. (Plan to visit on a nice sunny day with no wind or it’ll be a tough day.)

They also serve good coffee and food which is the reason why I put 5 stars.

Spectacular views ! Delicious food & coffee! A must visit. Open at 9am you could get nice drinks & cookies , Scones . Breakfast started at 10:30am .

Honestly I visited this place only for the spectacular views it offers but also happened to try their cookies and marshmallows that were quite delicious.

If you want to take a break from skiing, you must visit this place, worth the gondola ride.

Great spot for lunch with a view when shredding the mountain. The pretzel croissant tuna sandwich was yummy!

Awesome place, great view. Has a sauna section, enjoy beer with an amazing view sitting on beach chair. Great concept !!
