White Horse Hakuba

Really loved staying here. We are a family of 6 and had the apartment upstairs. The bed’s were very comfortable and there was lots of space both in the apartment and the hotel. There is an upstairs lounge were you can relax and watch a movie, the downstairs restaurant and bar, the entry lounge with piano and kids toys, plus the onsen is great. It was just such an easy stay, we could actually relax and just focus on getting to the snow. Our ski hire was delivered and picked up and we were dropped off more or less at the ski lifts!! Sooo good.

Our 3rd visit to Hakuba and very sorry we hadn't found Tony and the team at White Horse before now!

The location is spot on in a side street in the main village of Echoland and your only a short walk to the main street and all the bars/restaurants. But lots of new visitors don't always venture down side streets to the restaurant and bar at Whitehorse.
Has a very local feel to dinner and drinks...like sitting with family and friends!

The food served for breakfast is perfect and welcome before heading out in the free shuttle to whatever slope is your fancy for the day. My compliments for all the coffees I asked for to get my heart going in the morning!

The guest room we had was bigger than normal for the area, with a lounge and space downstairs in the restaurant to catch up on a bit of work before hitting the slopes most mornings!

We honestly wouldn't have left The White Horse and Hakuba if Tony hadn't had a big group booking coming in!

We were on our first ski trip and first trip to Japan and they made every process so easy for us. They have great knowledge of hakuba and went out of their way to make it an experience of a lifetime!! Also, you need to try the pastrami in their restaurant (Mr Miyagi’s)!! So good!!!
We will be back!!

Tony, Chiharu, and crew were exceptional hosts, and made our stay comfortable and homely at the same time. The pick-ups and drop-offs at the slopes were a god-send, as we did not have to wait in the cold and jostle for seats on the minibus. The onsen offered a reprieve for tired muscles after a fun day of skiing.

Not your average hotel. This was the best snow holiday my husband and I have ever had. Beautiful rooms, great food, relaxing onsen (which we booked private most evenings) and most importantly for us the best skiing ever. The first couple of days was deep powder snow, in fact the deepest i have ever skied in. Tony the owner took us to some amazing terrain where we hardly crossed a track all morning. 5 days into the trip he has invited us along to one of his road trips. Up early and out the door to what both of us have agreed to as our best day ever on the snow. Apparently Tony hears that a lot. We'll be back and we can recommend anybody who really loves skiing to stay at the Horse. There service is amazing and something very different to anything we have experienced.

2 years in a row now. This place is amazing. Tony promises the goods and he delivers every time. We had a late notice road trip last season to a secret spot that just blew us all away. Big rooms. awesome onsen, one of the best bars in town and the renovations with the new Mr Miyagi's restaurant was sensational. This is the place everyone should experience. It's like staying at your best friends holiday house. Thanks again Tony and staff for giving us the best holiday. We''ll be back.

I expected a normal hotel experience but there is a lot more to the White Horse. They are your friends on a powder day. They are your link to the best restaurants in the village. They are your drinking buddies at the bar for apres. Thanks to Tony and his team for making our family holiday an amazing experience. Love the onsen, amazing food and a great wine and whiskey selection. We'll be back.

Brilliant stay with Tony and his crew. They made everything very easy for our first trip to Japan. The whole family loved it. Big rooms, clean and warm. Great bar and fantastic restaurant. We'll be back again next year.

My first trip to Japan, and Tony and Chiharu made the stay so easy organising getting up to the snow and back, the best mountain to go to and looking after us.back at the hotel. Highly recommended!!

Tony and the crew are unbelievable hosts from the time they pick you up from the bus stop . They help you organize your ski gear and ski school lessons for the kids ,recommend places to eat ,and best of all drop you off at the best area to ski wouldn't stay any where else

Fantastic bar and restaurant with friendly service Okonomiyaki is amazing
