THE Lower East Nine cafe -LE9-

All the reviews are accurate in describing the food quality and service. It's very nicely put together cafe, there is limited seating during busy periods. The cafe is right outside the train station, so very easy to get to. They do try to manage inflow of traffic, so they make you wait outdoors until they are ready to take you in to prepare your order. Otherwise, this place does serve up some delicious breakfast and brunch, coupled with some aesthetic cups of coffee and matcha drinks.

Good food and amazing coffee & matcha tea. You may have to wait a bit but it’s totally worth it. Try the tuna egg sandwich! That was our favourite! Staff is friendly. We went twice!

Best breakfast in town!! Great brunch plate option (loved the small bread shape and sausage, perfectly cooked egg). Coffee is really good (cute swann). Great venue, modern and cozy, nice ambiance music. They even have charging station (nice attention to details for travellers). In short, I loved it!

English menu. English-friendly staff. The absolute best cafe I've found in Japan. The portion sizes are a little small for food but the quality is great.

Somehow the busy road outside doesn't really affect the relaxed atmosphere in the cafe. Good coffee. Perfect place to seek shelter from the Kyoto rain.

Simple but yet a yummy place for breakfast. The tamago n tuna sandwich was so good! Worth to get back here for a cup of tea or coffee.

Beautifully presented western style breakfast. Friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. Both the food and drinks were excellent. Highly recommend.

Really lovely place, tucked away a short walk away from Kyoto Station. Staff is friendly, place is clean and food/coffee is great. Portion is just nice (maybe alittle on the smaller side as compared to typical Western breakfast places).

Cozy place, we had breakfast with 2 toast style egg and ham sandwiches (about $5/each). The food was delicious, the toast melted in my mouth. The lounge seats are very confortable, ambient music made us relax. Nothing more to ask for a nice breakfast!

We stumbled upon this as we were passing by.
The coffee and breakfast were beautifully presented and very tasty.
There was just one lady working during our visit and she did everything all by herself. The place was half full, and she still served us promptly.

This restaurant is not family friendly but the food was delicious. Matcha was good! I had the vegetable sandwich. It was good. The salad was my favorite.

Stylish and spacious cafe right next to Kujo station and on a walking distance from Tofukuji temple. Serves delicious vegetable sandwiches. Great place to relax.

Very nice spot a 15 minute walk from Kyoto station, affordable and yummy food, and their caramel nut latte is the best coffee we’ve had after a month travelling through Japan. ありがとう !

Adorable coffee shop! They serve up a perfectly seasoned “Brunch Plate” and the espresso is so clean and crisp. English menu available.

Great spot for breakfast and specialty coffee. Near bus stop and Krasuma line underground station.

Lovely stop off after spending our morning walking around temples on the way back to our hotel.

Very nice vibe inside and a very friendly waitress. Again the menus are available in English which is always very helpful. The food was great and so was the coffee one of the best in Kyoto for us!
