JA Farmers Market Chanpuru Ichiba

Arguably the best farmers market I’ve ever visited. Authentic, local organic foods and flowers that change with the season. There is a fresh pork counter and some minor fish offerings and frozen foods. Lots of rice, herb, and vegetable options. I bought a small bucket of fresh, local eggs for $2. My favorite things to buy are the bento boxes, handmade mochi, and premade food options that range from $2-$5. So much to love and prices are reasonable!

Wonderful place to get fruits and veggies and the price is so much better than the commissary. Also do yourself a favor and stop by the stand outside the doors behind the cash registers. This gentleman sells sweet cakes and takoyaki. The sweet cakes were delicious. The grocery store takes American credit card so nothing should stop you from visiting here.

Wonderful range & quality of fresh food (fruit, vegetables, tofu, seafood, meats, flowers), delicious fried muffins and friendly vendors.

This Farmers Market has the most authentic vegetables, fruits, hot snacks, and desserts. Okinawa has unique mango, bitter gourd called Goya, and Shequasar (lime with lemon scent). Please visit this market to support local farmers.

I love to support to local farmers of the island by shopping here. I find lots of delicious produce, and organ meats that I don't see often in the grocery stores.

One of the best local farmer's market out of Kadena gate 3. They sell fresh fruits and veggies for a cheap price. They also have food stands outside like takoyaki, ice shave matcha and karaage for hungry buyers.

I go every week for flowers to practice ikebana. While there, I always get carrots, salt cookies, spinach and tuna. Everything is fresh and the employees are helpful. I miss the tayaki guy that used to be outside.

Place has everything, from fruits and vegetables, to beef and seafood, to flowers and baked goods. This place is must for fresh produce. They also accept card as payment.

Fresh Veggies and fruit, herbs and more for a good price. They take yen or card. Most of the signs for the herbs and produce have english translation, so you know what you are buying. . The staff is really nice and helpful. They also have little vendors outside, one makes yummy Okinawa donuts and another makes a tempura mushroom and chicken. Highly recommend going.

For extremely good produce there's no better place to shop especially especially if you are military or sofa status very close to gadina gate 3 and camp shield The prices are 30 to 50% less than that of the Commissary prices. It's extremely busy and could be tricky to get in-and-out of and out of however well worth The Visit.

I love this farmers market. It is nice that they accept card because I don’t usually carry ¥. They carry in season veggies from the local community and it is always fresh. It is one of the cheapest places also (on base is most expensive , then chain grocery stores, and the cheapest is farmers markets). I have never been disappointed shopping here. I can get a weeks worth of fresh fruit and veggies for under $25. The only negative is they do not have bananas (which are imported to japan).

Always fresh fruits & vegetables! Don't forget about their wide selection of flowers & other small plants. Haven't tried the fish or other meats but they look amazingly fresh. And the eggs are super fresh. There's a small baked goods section which has a variety of treats both Eastern & Western, many are works of art. Many different kinds of noodles & tofu. A couple of local vendors know enough English to entice you...& you won't be disappointed in the quality. There are vendors that align the outside but they're not pushy. Everyone is always courteous. I've heard there are specials on Wed & Sat mornings but you have to arrive early.

Love getting fresh vegetables and eggs from this farmers market. They accept Yen and your Credit Card. (visa for sure). Plenty of parking and they always have something different available almost every day. The drink stand outside is a great refreshmentafter shopping. My favorites are the ginger and passion fruit. Bring your own bag for convenience and stability(but they have some plastic ones for you there). I never spend more than 30 Yen

I drive over to this JA because it is much bigger than the ones closer to me. The selection is great and the prices are competitive. I make a day of going here, Banana Stand, and Yumeseika to make the trip worth it. If you go to one of their events though, get there before they open because the entire parking lot fills up as soon as they do. On normal days the parking lot is plenty big.

The best JA location I’ve seen. Very large, tons of selection, and bakery items are delicious.

It's easy to get to out of Kadena Gate 3 go straight and make a LEFT into parking lot. The empandas van is typically there which is a favorite. They also various stands or food trucks give or take the day.
They have an assortment of plants and veggies local to the island for a better price than the grocery stores.
They take credit card and yen. Parking on site.

Love this market so much for their selection of produce, plants, foods, and friendly staff. I buy my Japanese rice here!
