When you think you've seen everything, there's more! Creativity, inspiring, beautiful, you feel like you are in the world of enlightened dreams! The best part for me is the lake of flowers with romantic and contagious songs and lights too, you will want to dance! Wonderful 👏🏻🫶🏻

We LOVED this botanical garden. It has everything- beautiful paths to walk on, shaded areas to sit, animals to observe and interact with, food, drinks, restrooms, a restaurant, and even a fishing spot! We bought an all day ticket so we could see the Illumination. We had no problem finding things to do. The gardens are very well maintained and cleaned and the music that they have playing really adds to the over all atmosphere of the place! Bring yen in coin form if you are interested in feeding any of the animals! It is definitely worth purchasing the membership if you enjoy these types of places. Great place to hang out for a day- or evening! Plenty of free parking!

Amazing place!! Absolutely beautiful!! Easily could have spent more than half the day here. Bring change (coins) to be able to partake in all the fun activities throughout the park!

Petting the capybaras here was one of the highlights of my trip to Japan. That sort of experience would cost a lot of money back home. If you want to feed them or the other animals, it is 200 yen per cup, so bring 100 yen coins. Otherwise, there are a few machines dotted around the park that will exchange it for you - I found one near the fishing area.

I visited in early February so the gardens weren't as impressive as other times of the year, but it was very quiet and peaceful in the park, only a few other guests. I highly recommended as a stop, you could spend several hours here if you wanted.

We only went to see the Illumination and to my surprise it was wonderful!!

It's a large place with lots of different themes, it makes us feel like we're in a Christmas mood in April!! There is a light show and synchronization of lights and music that really impresses! It's worth going to see all of this!!

Visited this place during the daytime and had a really great time. The staff were friendly and helped directed me to the animals. The animals were very cool and the restrictions were very relaxed. I will come back again at night because I was told that was the best time to visit.

Really great botanical gardens with many interesting animals. I recommend bringing 100 yen coins so you can feed them (ranging from 100-400yen). There is also horse back riding. Winter time with light displays (evenings are a little more expensive)

The southeast botanical gardens are a great place to visit both during the daytime and nighttime. During the day you can pet and feed capybaras, turtles, goats, rabbits, and more! You can also take a walk on the forest side of the park and see the bamboo trees, hibiscus plants, horses, and other beautiful greenery. At night - during the winter months usually - you can see the illuminations! My favorite each year are the lily pads, they are so mesmerizing. The botanical gardens are extremely peaceful and the staff are so kind and take very good care of the grounds and the animals. One of my very favorite places on island and I would highly recommend taking visiting friends and family.

We visited the Botanical Gardens this winter for the Lights Festival and it was SO MUCH fun! We will definitely be going back to see the gardens during the day, soon!

It was a very nice and quiet park. There are two sides to the park. One has animals and the other plants. Really enjoyed both sides. The palms tress from that three avenue were originated from Taiwan. We had it all to ourselves!

I went mainly to see Capybaras and it was the best thing in the world. The entire experience was pretty cool and the animals are very friendly. The scenery was pretty.

Today was the perfect weather to walk around the botanical garden. I can't wait to visit it when the lights are illuminated at night.

Beautiful place especially at night time to enjoy the illuminations. All ages can have a great time. I recommend to go around 6pm to see during the day and at night as well. The trolley around the garden cost 500¥ per person and departure every 30 minutes.
Highly recommend.

Excellent buffet restaurant 🤤: salad, meat, pizza, pasta, dessert, coffee, etc. The views 😍from the restaurant are extraordinary. It is 100% worth buying the ticket with lunch.

The garden itself is also beautiful🤓

as we embarking on a journey at the botanical gardens in okinawa it was quite fascinating to see:
1. extreme cleanliness of the place
2. a variety of vegetatians that are on the display across the whole park
3. the amazing variety of the animals
4. the birds show was a highlight for the kids
it is definitely a recommended place to visit and experience first hand on how to manage the animals and hand feed them but beware that since it an open space it is extremely hot during the day
food and drinks are also available but the prices as usual are typically higher than it would be in the local shop

This was a great experience. We came here on our own from a day stop in Okinawa on a Royal Caribbean Cruise and Uber was easy getting there (see below.for getting back). There is lots to see and plenty of opportunities to feed various animals. We came specifically for the bird show and the capybaras. We also had a couple of beers and some rice curry at the shop which was perfect after we got soaked in the rain.

It was tough getting transport back. Uber was not available. However we were able to use google translate and talk to the information desk who called a taxi. It arrived in about 10 minutes. Cash only but they stopped at Lawson market on the way so we could get more cash at an ATM.
