Lots of walking but lots of places to get cold drinks and snacks. Multi lingual guide books and plaques on animal enclosures.

The routs were well designed and easy to navigated. Animals are well presented. Highly recommend if you have kids that love animals

I was very impressed. Well laid out with much to see and plenty of concessions to enjoy.

This is more like a holistic children play area than just a zoo.

Apart from the animals, there was a mini-train and bumper car play area, a helicopter display, a fishing area and a museum.

My child (2.5 yo) thoroughly enjoyed the experience!

Very disappointing zoo but we still had fun. I am from Florida we used to go to a small Community built zoo in Melbourne. Which is an incredible zoo for being community built but It’s definitely not a top zoo. This zoo is so rundown but surprisingly very busy. It’s also incredibly cheap so we feel like we got what we paid for. We did see some animals we’ve never seen before. We loved feeding the elephant, that was something we had never done. The guy cleaning the hippos cage was our highlight of the day. We were in shock the hippos didn’t try to kill him. I also thought hippos were very aggressive but this guy was right next to them spraying them with water. Which they absolutely loved.

Update- I grew to love this zoo when I had an Oki baby. They started updating and adding so many new exhibits before we left. Oh and the Christmas event is incredible! The laser show was my favorite ❤

Where we are from in the states, there is a huge zoo. But at the zoo in our hometown they don’t have a museum or rides. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed being here. As you can see in photo of the oldest looking upset, we were leaving and she was MAD. Haha She has been asking to go back ever since! We will definitely be purchasing season passes so we can do the wonder museum and rides as well. The oldest loved everything about the zoo and the museum. She is 4 years old and our youngest is turning 2 soon. Our 4 year old is more verbal and can inform us as to what her likes and dislikes are. They have a few kiddie rides, you just have to purchase tickets for those. They also have horseback riding and at certain times you can feed and pet some of the animals. If you are an adult, you may not enjoy it as much. But we enjoyed seeing the huge smiles on our daughters’ faces. It was worth it!! We have heard bad reviews so we weren’t sure what to expect. Our expectations weren’t high at all. However, we were not let down. The zoo in general is okay, the one in our hometown is better because the animals have more room to roam around and it’s larger. But we didn’t really go here for the animals. Our daughters wanted to play on the equipment, run around, ride rides, and play in the museum more than they wanted to look at the animals. (Other than the horses. The oldest loved riding a horse for the first time on her birthday.) Our youngest was too small for the horseback riding, but could still ride the kiddie rides. If you have smaller children, I think it’s 100% worth it.
Plus it’s cheap!!

We are here frequently, the kids absolutely love it. Very small zoo- walk the route and it’s maybe an 45 minutes to an hour. The enclosures are small but they are enlarging them currently. Don’t miss the wonder museum and the fishing pond! Super cheap too!

The family had a good time walking the trails and seeing the animals, but i will say prepare yourself for the hills bring water to hydrate and go ride the elephants.

Very worth the price in my opinion, lots of great animals. Unfortunately they have a section under construction so some of the animals are off limits. I will definitely come back after construction is finished.

5 out of 5 and I’ll explain why.
Parking: free and easy to park
Admission: $3.50 per adult
Food/drinks/gift shop: $1 coke, $5 plush animals, essentially equal prices to a regular store.
Exhibits: there are dozens of large animals, lions and tigers and bears… lol. you can get very close to the animals compared to most US zoos.
Crowd level: low, each exhibit we visited it was either just us or a couple other families.
Bottom line: they packed a lot of zoo into a small area, this is not the San Diego Zoo, however; for a fraction of the price and exponentially less people in our opinion its a better overall zoo experience than most zoos. Enjoy!:

I came here in late of June. It's a cloudy day but can stop me to relax. Animals in here was wealthy, for me that is the best thing.
One part of zoo is on construction, I hope it's done soon.
By the way, sorry for my bad english.

Excellent place of family trip with young kids or toddlers. Friendly environment for strollers, like elevators, outdoor escalators, gentle slopes

Many animals in Zoo!
And you can buy some carrot and grass to feed the animals.
It is suitable for children to play in here.

Very fun place for kids. Besides animals, it also has real helicopter in the zoo.

Great place to visit for a small cost! There is an all-you-can-eat with local Okinawan food next to the parking lot and a small library which my daughter enjoyed reading books there. The whole Zoo went through major renovations in the recent year, which provides much better living conditions for the animals and enjoyable spaces for visitors. The zoo is so big you will need a whole day. Better to bring stroller for small kids.
