Super Hotel Shijyo Kawaramachi

I liked the beautiful surroundings in the common areas. The room was simple, but it was nice to have a sofa. I was very happy with the breakfast, which offered something new every day and was also very good for vegetarians. In the evenings they offered happy hour and it was nice to sit in a nice space and try traditional Japanese drinks. Both then and in the mornings, it was very quiet and cosy.

I stayed at Super Hotel in October 2023. The hotel is in a great location for walking to the shopping areas and Gion. There are nearby convenience stores. The hotel is not located on the ground floor but there are elevators. There is an onsen facility that is small but quite relaxing. The room is very basic - with compact bathroom and room. Large TV and large fridge to store items. The window was frosted with no view but let in a lot of daylight - and could be covered completely at night with a blackout curtain. The breakfast was not very good - however it is free! I would suggest preparing to visit a convenience store.

Good standard issue Japanese buffet breakfast, free baths and happy hour from 6-8pm with free booze and can bring drinks up. Rooms standard size but tidy, buckwheat pillows but can get western pillows too.

1* hotel with 5* service and perfect location., Only 2 mins walking from Nishiki market. There are many different options of pillows to choose from. Free beautiful delicious buffet breakfast 7am - 9am., Free drinks 6pm - 8pm. Free Hotspring bath taking turn between men and women. Very friendly, helpful and attentive staff member. Small room but with comfortable bed. keyless and cardless access to the room, only key in the code. Definitely will stay here again.

Budget hotel providing free simple breakfast, at the best location in Kyoto! And am added advantage is there's a natural hot spring to use. Room setting fits in the wabi-sabi tradition very well. I enjoyed my stay.

Reasonable price with a comfortable room. Friendly staff and heart-warming greetings. Not to mention the hot spring it offers. Definitely a place to re-book. 5 stars all the way.

Perfect service such as lots of amenity and free morning (it worth $10, if it's not free). The staff is well take care of us with really kindness, which surprise us. The room is not so large for two but still enough for take a rest

My husband and I stayed at Super Hotel over a year ago and we still comment every once in a while about how we miss their breakfast buffet! It was such a delicious eclectic mix of food and we each liked something different about it! The hotel itself was located in a very convenient spot within short walking distance from the main Kyoto area. It was over a year ago so I don't remember anything specific about the room itself (that also means I don't recall anything particularly bad) but I do remember the nice little hotsprings bath which I believe was a rotation every few hours between male and female with clear signs. While I went in, my husband would look up places nearby or vice versa so it wasn't too bad even though we were separated. If (more likely when) we go back to Kyoto, we'll probably stay here again!

We had a fantastic 5-night stay here. The service was top-notch, the rooms were clean and decently sized, and the breakfast was great -- it changed a bit each day and included amazing fresh baked pastries. The location is also great with lots of restaurants, shops, markets, and bars within walking distance, as well as being near transit. Bonus: you can log into your netflix account on the tv.

Low price. Great location. Good service.
Of course the rooms are not too luxurious, but considering the price and the good location it's a great deal.

I spend last year my birthday here, staff surprised my with a birthday cake on the my door at 00.15(there shift was till 00.00) I love it! Was very appreciate.

Stayed for five nights n I really can't think of anything negative about this hotel. Check in was easy n no check out needed, just leave your from by 10am or pay a little extra in advance for late check out.
Free breakfast was better than expected too. The location are great, everything seems very newly build the food r decent, so overall this place is very good value for money.

The rooms are tiny but the location is unbeatable as it is within perfect walking distance from either Kyoto downtown or Gion with many buses and nearby trains if you want to go further to places like Fushimi inari or Arashimaya.

Great breakfast food. And with hot spring onsen. Remember to book at least one month in advance to get good rates.

Great location, nice tiny rooms, close to all the shopping areas but no parking, closest public parking is 5 minutes walk away, just in case you need directions to the parking cos hotel website won’t have the map.

Excellent location, rooms are small, but that's Japan, there is an onsen which alternates use for men and women, and they provide breakfast in the morning

Excellent hotel in the middle of most tourist attractions. Very affordable with very friendly and hospitable staff members! Highly guaranted!
