CAFE MILLET

Beautiful vegan cafe and restaurant. They had mind-blowing food, I was so keen afterwards to ask for the recipes. If they sold a recipe book I would definitely buy it.
At first I thought the portion sizes were too small, but afterwards I was very full and satisfied, so don't be misled!
I would definitely come here again. よろしくお願いします

Best vegan lunch I ever had! My friend took me there during a short trip to Kyoto, and it was one of the highlights of my stay. The food is exquisite, the atmosphere warm and welcoming, and the owner a very nice person easy to talk with. It's one of these places that we want everyone to know about, but at the same time we want to keep it to ourselves as a precious secret.
Definitely recommend to go there to anyone going on a hike around. Just don't forget to book in advance.

I had dined twice here, since every month they have different menus. Not one of, but the best vegan restaurant I’ve ever had! Very fresh produce wish simple yet thoughtful way of preparation, making each bite so enjoyable. It’s in an old farm house, summer days, even without AC, the wind flows in with cool breeze. They also have cute little swallows inside (they’ve made house there). One of the special things is their stone oven made bread, so yummy! Service, even better than those luxury hotels! The true Japanese hospitality is here! Highly recommend for a visit! (Photos are from my two past visits)

This is an amazing organic vegetarian cafe, perfect for cyclists or hikers as it is along both Ebumi Pass and the Kyoto Trail. Reservations must be made in advance (in Japanese), as the preparation takes time. The owner, Suzuka-san, is incredibly kind and accommodating, and the dining room is beautiful and looks out across their farm. There’s also an outdoor patio for good weather.

The food is simply AMAZING; every item is a mini masterpiece of flavor which highlights the quality of the ingredients and skill of the chef. The coffee and fresh bread (formerly made by the 98 year-old grandfather) are especially noteworthy. From a vegetarian, coffee geek, and bread lover: this place is the real deal, and you will not be disappointed!

A place to stop and breathe, sink into the atmosphere. Vegan menu, book in advance - or if you're lucky, as I was, just pop in (if you can find it!) and the lovely proprietor might fix a real treat: home-roasted coffee, 'shuji' (?) juice (red, made from leaves), and chocolate cake.

I had one of my best meals here. A true "farm to table" experience. The chef is exceptional - each preparation was delicious and inventive. The condiments and other accompaniments worked in harmony with the original taste of the ingredients. The tofu with the pink salt was wonderful as was the quiche. The greens were fresh and vibrant. The desserts were amazing! The cafe also has an extensive collection of art books. Do make reservations at least a day ahead. It was an unforgettable experience to dine here.

Wonderful vegan cafe in tranquil setting outside Kyoto

Lovely Café/ lunch restaurant with a great view and even more amazing vegan food.
One of my favourite places to eat although I'm not vegan. Everything is handmade with mostly self grown and 100% local ingredients. The taste is exquisite and the ingredients are seasonal and of high quality. The cashew-soy milk cheesecake was a dream of a dessert and the amasake ice cream a light refreshing treat to balance out the creamy cake.
Just be aware that there's a reservation deadline of at least 3 days in advance as everything is carefully planned and premade for the exact amount of customers that are awaited. A bit pricier than other eat out options but the lovely Machiya atmosphere, the view and most of all the food are well worth it. Parking spaces are available nearby in an unpaved parking lot.

Fantastic vegetarian food and service in rustic decor. Reservations necessary.

Really special experience

静かな佇まいとお洒落な空間で味わうビーガン料理は、その時期の旬の素材を活かし、丁寧に旨味を引き出した逸品ばかりです。時折、部屋に流れ込む風はやわらかく、遠くから聴こえるニワトリの鳴声や野球少年の元気な声など、どこか懐かしく時間を忘れてホッとできる空間もまた良いです。

今日:　日本で いちばん　おいしい　の新鮮なサラダを食べたり、小さなカフェで素敵な人に会ったり、草を食べている古いヤギを訪ねたり...

山の優しい風が吹いていて、とても気持ちの良いところです(*^_^*)☆
ケールとトウモロコシ、キヌア、カボチャのキッシュ、前菜だけで十分衝撃的なのですが、天然酵母のパンは窯で焼いて下さっていたり(お店の前の窯です)、エンドウ豆のスープに感動。

『こんなに美味しいスープ、のんだことないっ！！』と、三歳の息子が大声で絶賛して騒がせてしまいました(^-^;)💦(笑)お野菜の味が濃く、そのまま液体となって凝縮されてます。
メインのお野菜のオーブン焼きは、言葉に表せません。野菜…の…オーブン焼き…だと…これはっ…！？(ﾟДﾟ)✨

肉厚のズッキーニは、まるでお野菜のステーキ。ムチムチプリぷりの野菜汁がじゅわっ…でも表面はパリッ…
ジャガイモも、ふかふかのほくほくで味が濃く、ひょうめんはこうばしくぱりっ…
人参は二種類、どちらも野菜のパワーが凝縮されてます。
もう終わりの頃には美味しさで頭がぼーっとしておりました(笑)

言語化出来ない感動のお料理です。素晴らしいお味。息子のアレルギーが多く外食が難しいので、ヴィーガンご飯やさん、マクロビオティックのお店によくお邪魔しますが、頭一つ出る美味しさです。才能としかいえません。

優しい野菜でお腹いっぱいになります。
女性は、興味ありのお店ですね。
家庭ではマネ出来ないくらい手間のかかったお料理ですよ。

完全予約制を知らずに訪問してしまいました

知らず無知な僕を突き当り左奥の常連さんがご案内下さり　緊張がとけて助かりました

Liveのときにお邪魔したので、普段と少し違う感じかもしれませんが、緑がいっぱいで、とても静かないい場所でした。お茶とお菓子がおいしかったです。

とっても美味しい! 予約と車も両方必要けど。Owner/ chef は優しくて、食べ物も味が面白くて美味しい~ ここが本当に大好きです。

Google検索で見つけて、電話をして伺いました。お休みされている日もあるみたいで、電話して行って良かったです。着いてみるとご自宅でされているカフェで、看板が非常に小さくわかりにくいお店でした。コーヒー、フレッシュハーブティー、キッシュ、よもぎケーキしかないメニューでしたが、どれも絶品！天然酵母で作られているパンも“いかにも“という味で、心もお腹も癒されました。予約してランチにも伺いたいです。

畑で大事に育てられた新鮮野菜で丁寧に作られるビーガン料理(精進料理)を美しい景色を眺めながら頂ける。要予約。子供達に人気のツリーハウスは老朽化のため2018年には取り壊されてしまうとのこと。バスの本数が少なく交通の便が悪いが足を運ぶ価値は十二分にある。wifi圏外。
