Highly recommend this shop, but more importantly this guy's knowledge. He is a very genuine guy and offered great advice on knives, kanna and Nomi. His English is good enough to get point across and really makes an effort. As I was talking to him, I had a high end chef from chilli talk about the details of a knife that the guy had sharpened. This grew my confidence. He's very passionate about anything blade. Please trust that he is good for woodwork and cooking knives + Waterstone sharpening.

Highly recommend this knife shop. The store has been open for 100 years and passed down through 3 generations. The shop owner is so helpful in explaining the differences between knives and excellent at engraving.

Purchased a higo no kami pocket knife “Tokusen tasoukou Aogami-Tanzou” made from blue steel and Damascus steel..it was the most beautiful knife I’ve seen. Always wanted a Higo no kami pocket knife, never knew it was made with Damascus until I saw it in this shop. What a piece of art. Shop owner was kind and friendly and spoke English! Thank you so much for the opportunity to own this knife. You can’t get it in USA and you can’t buy it online anywhere

Amazing place and the owner is so knowledgeable and helpful. We ended up buying 2 sets of Japanese hand tools because the quality was so good. Highly reccomend you visit this place especially if you are in the garden trade.

I went to this shop and got amazed by how knowledgeable and kind is the owner. He explains and know the history behind every knife you point. Amazing shop with loads of options and awesome knives.
