Kyoto Brighton Hotel

This is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in and I couldn’t think of a single flaw at this place. The staff are amazing, very friendly and welcoming. The lobby is stunning but I’m more interested in the rooms. They’re fairly spacious, have lots of furniture like tables and counters and the shower is marvellous. There’s two shower heads for some reason!? One is fixed and the other has free range.
The restaurant at the hotel surprised me, since in my experience hotel food is overpriced and either small portions or not very good. The food at this restaurant was all-you-can-eat buffet style, and delicious.
I also want to mention that the hotel has a bus that goes to the station every 20 minutes included for free, which is convenient and makes up for the hotel not being close to the station.
The location is great, with a popular tourist spot a couple minutes walk away from the hotel, and there’s also another tourist spot a couple minutes walk from where the bus drops you off at the station. There’s also a laundromat close enough if you need it, and a little secret: there’s a vending machine to the right of the front entrance that sells drinks super cheap.

Amazing hotel, we loved our 3 night stay here. Truly 4 star hotel experience. Very beautifully updated and maintained, with spacious rooms, well appointed bathrooms and attentive service. It's not in the most central location, but the hotel shuttle makes it super easy to get around. Excellent choice for traveling with family. It's the kind of hotel you look forward to going back to after a busy day of exploring a city. Highly recommended for a stay in the Kyoto area.

Great service! The staff were pleasant and professional. On arriving they upgraded our room and breakfast buffet was an experience, the kitchen made me a fresh vinaigrette dressing for my salad, made me an espresso when I asked. I got the impression that if I’d brought my own fish, they would have prepared it for me!

Extremely pleased with the accommodation.
Albeit slightly far from the main city center, the hotel has a complimentary shuttle bus running every 20’ to and from the center.

Staff are very professional and friendly.

Rooms are thoroughly clean.

High standard of service. The staff were nice enough to check us in early as our baby was sick. Make sure to utilize their free shuttle service back and forth Karasuma Oike Subway station, easy access to busy shopping districts in Kyoto.

Amazing hotel. The service was fantastic. It’s a little far from Kyoto station but the free shuttle bus was so convenient. I cannot recommend this hotel enough.

Excellent in every way. I am
vegetarian and the hotel accommodated my dietary requests for breakfast for the entire length of my stay. The staff at the hotel is efficient, polite, caring and diligent. The rooms are designed in a way where one can work with sufficient lighting and proper seating arrangement. The hotel is located in a very nice area with authentic small food shops.

this is a great hotel in a great location. staff are really nice and helpful. shuttle to tube station is a real bonus. choice of different restaurants was a real plus as well as food was great in all of them. will definately use again.

Our family had a really great experience with this hotel. Price was reasonable and the western breakfast buffet was good. The japanese breakfast was likewise very authentic. The location is very near the Imperial Palace and is an 8 minute walk from the nearest station. If you like to stay in a more quiet place in Kyoto, this hotel is highly recommended.

Our favourite family has stayed so far in Japan. Pretty hotel, lovely rooms well layed out, spacious with great ambience. Well thought through amenities. Loved it!

We felt great in this hotel. Also i lovd hotels where the rooms halls are all facing to the lobby amd restaurant area in an open space instead of tricky and long hallways to get to your room. This does not mean you will hear any noise from the lobby. It was very quite. Japanese are excelent with hospitality, they strughle with the english language but they put so so much effort to try understand and communicate with you that is of course worth it and they deserve a medal for this. They will try to accomodate your need no matter what. Breakfast options were nice. Would come back in my next visit to Kyoto

Beautiful, clean rooms. Very comfortable bed. Bathroom with soaking jacuzzi tub. Breakfast buffet was delicious. Wish we had stayed longer than one night.

Best hotel in kyoto in my opinion. Great rooms Great staff and great restaurants. Shuttle to underground station was a real bonus.

We loved staying here. The quad room was so spacious. I was impressed with the attention to detail like tea pot and cups in the room. The location might not be in everyone's favor. It's far from the train station and downtown so it costs extra to get to those places. However, we enjoyed observing the suburban life. We used to see kids walking to their school in the morning and they'd wave us Hello. There was a 7/11 nearby and my kids loved the independence of visiting the store on their own. Japan might be the only place I'll be comfortable letting my kids explore on their own.

A brilliant hotel with great stellar service. The shuttle provided by the hotel takes you to a great location close to many public transportation stations and shopping districts. this helps make up for how far it is from the center of town. It is a great place to stay when seeing the beauties of Kyoto and its suburbs. The hotel staff was incredibly helpful and polite and the room we had was great. We had a wonderful experience and will most likely stay there again next time we visit Kyoto.

I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. It is located in a quiet neigborhood by the Kyoto Imperial Palace, so as you are getting to the hotel, it is difficult to believe you are going in the correct direction.
From the outside the hotel looks somewhat creepy, but once you step inside, prepare to get amazed. "It is bigger on the inside!"
The service and all the amenities are outstanding. The staff is friendly and helpful. Overall a very enjoyable stay. The prices are more on the high end, but if you hunt for seasonal deals, the rooms are quite affordable.

This place exceeded pur expectations! From the moment we stepped in to the time we left we were truly looked after. The room was spacious clean with a traditional Japanese touch. The bar and the restaurants are well postioned and are worth a try. The free shuttle bus is a great addition!
