Hotel Granvia Hiroshima

The Grand Villa Hiroshima offers an unbeatable location that's a traveler's dream—situated atop the train station and adjacent to the major bus terminal, it provides effortless access to explore Hiroshima. The hotel's elegant design exudes luxury from the moment you step in. Their exceptional service stood out; Since we arrived early, before checkin, we decided to leave our luggage and start our tour of the city. Upon our return, we found our luggage already taken care of, seamlessly moved into our rooms upon return, accompanied by a warm reception and room keys ready. The rooms themselves are lavish, boasting an array of amenities ensuring a cozy and comfortable stay. They have two breakfast options, Japanese and a continental open buffet and would recommend both. Without a doubt, this is now my top choice whenever I visit Hiroshima, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone exploring the city.

My room was perfect.

There's a max-value supermarket within a few hundred metres providing everything else you need for snacks, etc., while you take a walking tour of the Peace Park Attractions and Hiroshima Castle. Also beers for the evening wind down.

The location of the hotel is superb - right next to Hiroshima Station. There is a connecting bridge between Hiroshima Station and level 2 of the hotel.

Staff are friendly.

Room keeping is meticulous - all items are placed neatly.

Disposable tooth brush, tooth paste, disposable shaver blade, shaving cream, comb, facial wash, cotton bud, cotton for female make-up, disposable body scrub are provided (what else to ask for?).

Loved the location, right on the Shinkansen line. The famiy room we booked was very spacious, this was on the premium floor and included access to the Granvia Lounge which has an amazing view for breakfast. The staff were very helpful. We loved our stay here and wish we could have stayed longer. For a family of four with two older teenagers we highly recommend booking a Premium Room.

The Hiroshima JR Station is on the 2nd floor, turn left at the north exit – a very convenient transportation location. The south exit of Hiroshima Station is where you can catch the streetcar, and it's a livelier area. The hotel is clean and provides complete amenities, including two small bottles of water. The bed is moderately firm. The washlet of warm water in the toilet is brief, turning cold after ten seconds around, which is a bit uncomfortable, but otherwise, the bathroom is spacious and comfortable by Japanese standards. The breakfast is abundant and delicious, though not extensive in variety. It's a hotel I would consider staying at again.

Being so close to the Main Station, the Hotel is well located when travelling by train. The staff were very professional and friendly and the overall hotel first class. We stayed for a few days and would certainly recommend it for anyone wanting to stay in Hiroshima.

Right beside the station, service is top notch even though i made a mistake in booking, they accommodate me with a room i intended to book, they even assisted with bringing the luggage from the previous room to the new room.

can't be beaten for its convenient location, literally a few minutes off the platform, fully covered walkway to the hotel. The room is on the tight side, the bathroom has everything but again cramped for room. Having said that, its more or less in par with the most hotels I've stayed in Japan. Hiroshima Carp baseball stadium is around 10-15min on foot also. JR Pass gets you onboard 3 tourist loop buses for free, departing in front of Hiroshima station. Hiroshima tourisim info centre is located just by the station exit, 2nd level on the way to hotel. Family Mart is also very handy.

Excellent location! It is directly connected to the JR Hiroshima station and their staff were very nice and helpful. Room is spacious, bed comfy and they even have memory foam pillows! The only drawback is that the room is a bit dim. Would definitely stay here again if I visit Hiroshima.

First off, you really can’t beat the location—it’s right off the main train station.

The service was really great. Everyone was really kind and thoughtful. The facilities had everything you needed. While the room was small, it was super clean.

The price was also extremely reasonable. We were pleasantly surprised by the whole experience!

This place was super convenient and for that alone it gets 5 stars. Honestly when you’re travelling around anywhere, as long as the hotel has a decent bed and shower, and at a convenient location, you’re good to go.

This isn’t a 5-star hotel where people will serve you cocktails at check-in. But it does it’s job of being a decent and comfortable hotel that’s located near practically all the convenient transport modes.

Great location with the Shinkansen lines so close and the bus terminal to take you all over Hiroshima. The hotel is neat, clean, and has amazing water pressure, a great shower. Beds are a little hard but still comfy. They team are super friendly with an onsite info desk and a currency exchange machine on site.

The valet parked our car while we checked in and returned to the times car rental opposite the hotel which was a nice touch.

The rooms are clean and there were lots of power plugs, it was nice taking a bath as well.

The location is superb, there is a direct path from the station to the hotel (enter via level 2), and if you can find the hidden corridor, there is a mini escalator to level 2 of the hotel from the station.

The "dish parade" western breakfast was tasty but food quality was a little low. The soup dumplings and fruits were the best dishes of breakfast, the robotic cat that collects trays was the best part of breakfast.

We went to the Japanese breakfast the next day and this was infinitely better. It was quite quiet and the service was great. You get unlimited obanzai dishes (which have all been pre portioned, so you simply take which plates you want) and every dish I had was a hit. The set plate was so tasty, the only thing that wasn't up to standard was the tomago (egg), the coffee was better at this breakfast restaurant as well.

I would highly recommend the Japanese breakfast over the western breakfast.

Great location beside the train station. Literally make a turn around the corner from the Shinkansen Exit and the hotel is there.

I travelled here on my honeymoon, Granvia was kind enough to write us a note wishing us a happy honeymoon. Small gesture but heartwarming and beyond the service you typically receive for this price range.

Rooms are a bit old but very well maintained, house keeping was also on point. Bonus points for the amazing sunset views!

Great location. Nice spacious clean rooms. Next to the train station that has SO much shopping and restaurants. The breakfast is nice. The maid does a fantastic job. The pillows are great as well.

Right location at the right price. Connected directly to Hiroshima station, one couldn't ask for more. Rooms and public areas were clean and neat. A posh hotel at half the price. With beer vending machines!! Recommended.
