5/5 all around. The family was super friendly, fast, and helpful with my limited Japanese. The food was absolutely worth writing home about. The butter scallops were a must. I know where I'm sending all my friends for ominamiyoki!

One of the best dinner spots we've visited on our trip in Japan. We've been to two places, both great in their own way. Ron on the 3rd floor is absolutely great and funny. And one on the first floor that's already existing for 60 years with a lovely owner who's grandmother opened it ❤

A building with an overwhelming amount of of shops selling the same thing.

When I went, all the fun ones seemed to be taken on the first 2 levels. The only ones left with no customers only had locals chatting to the stall owner over a beer (felt like I was intruding) so I avoided them like the plague.

Eventually I sat down at one that had a friendly older couple running things.

The experience was nice and the food was very good, although I would warn that the seats are tiny and there isn’t much leg room for tall people.

The place has around 20 restaurants specializing in okonomiyaki which is a pancake, meat, vegetable and noodle dish that originated around Hiroshima. One can order a variety of options based on one’s preference. The eateries are spread over multiple floors and can be quite crowded. We were lucky to find a place when we walked in on Friday evening. The different okonomiyaki that we ordered - veggie, deluxe and oyster were all delightful and I would love to go back for more

Our first experience with okonomiyaki and it was amazing! We ate at the stall just to the right when you step off the elevator on the 2nd floor. The owner was very friendly and professional, showing off each step clearly for us as she cooked. We got versions with Soba and Udon noodles and both were fantastic.

Pfff. It is an experience you can't miss.
This place is amongst a few other okonomiyaki in the area, " Teppei" is the place to go if you're vegetarian.
Worth the wait and the heat.Go for it.
Hiroshima style is food cooked and layered, with a base of battered crepe, cabbage, meat, egg, noodle etc. , compared to Osaka style which is all mixed up.

Busy and closes relatively early so don’t go too late! Fun place, sure they all taste great so just pick one that looks nice, has friendly staff & space for you/your group. Hiroshima style has noodles inside-try this one

Loved it. Shibui, dirty, classic. Just the way I like my food. Not crazy with how many tourists are around. But that can't really be helped. I guess I'm a tourist of sorts too since I live in Kyushu.

Amazing food! The experience of eating in a restaurant like this is another world! You are able to experience a full Japanese experience! It’s no only a delicious food but also a full experience by watching the chef made in front of you the food with an amazing technique.

Had an amazing time. Was able to seat a group of 10-12 people at a stall. Okinomiyaki was as delicious as advertised. It doesn't really matter which one of the restaurants you sit by, you'll be well fed and taken care of wherever you go.

Was fooled, at first I thought it was a street, but it's actually a building with stalls! We went to a stall on the third floor around 3PM which was lunch time for most of the stalls except this one. Hiroshima okonomiyaki is no joke! They are huge and filling with their noodles on top. Since it was oyster season and because Hiroshima is known for oysters, we had to get one with oysters on top, worth a try!

The food was amazing! We went to the store that was located at the end of the corner (left side) on the 3rd floor, the head chef wearing purple apron

We need to visit them again when we come back to Hiroshima 😁

I visited one of those shops in 3rd floor, forgot its name. Tasted pretty good, with reasonable price.
Sometimes you might see long queue on the stairs outside for the 2nd floor, but don't get fooled, just go straight to the 3rd or 4th floor.
We almost left bcs we thought the queue was too long, apparently people just didn't know what they were waiting for. Luckily we checked and immediately got seated into a shop in 3rd floor pretty quickly. Please, never hesitate to ask.
The place was really crowded that you might bump into each other even when you eat. They really try to fit everyone in. And it was so hot inside since everything was open kitchen (teppanyaki). But it was a good experience indeed.

Very cool spot for okonomiyaki. 6 floors of some 20+ restaurants. I’m sure you can’t go wrong with any, just pick one that has seats! Take the stairs or elevator and taste some awesome food. Cash only

This whole building is full of the same style restaurants, but this place specifically was reported to have the only Michelin star. So go early or expect to wait in line. We went early and had about a 25 minute wait, while other restaurants on the same floor had open seats. The food was great, it's done Hiroshima style which I prefer. We added oysters to ours. It was all very good and worth the minimal wait.

English menu available. Staff very friendly and can handle a full house! Definitely great ambiance with the food and drinking. The two dishes I ordered were very delicious. Would order another oyster dish if I wasn't full.

Fun experience and good okonomiyaki. I think I do enjoy it more than Osaka one since it has the noodles rather than more batter.

Went to one on 4f but they all seems to look similar. They had English menu at the one I went to as well
