Saka Hotel Kyoto

It was a long walk from Kyoto station with steep slopes, but if you are willing to pay 1,000 yen per baggage (which I think it's worth if you have big baggages because they do not let you take the bus with luggages), then it is relatively near by bus.

Very nice place with a great atmosphere. The free lounge was also very comfortable with the massage chair and nice drinks + snacks. The rooms are comfortable and big with free sake for your bath every night.

The service provided was great. Staff rushed outside the entrance to help with our luggage at night when they heard us coming in. Luggage was also carried up to our room for us. One of the staff also went an extra step to recommend us place to eat when we had trouble finding places that are open after 6:30pm.

It's definitely worth the price and experience. I will come back again!

The treatment you receive is that of 4 or 5 star hotel. I was surprised that it was 3 star hotel when the service was so detailed and careful. They are very accommodating, helpful and polite. 100% recommended. If possible please try their private spa, it's an extra expense but it will be well worth it to have a private onsen for 50mins. They go by quick and worth every second.

A luxurious hotel near kiyomizudera. So kind and the breakfast was good and also cute. A plain double room was also in good condition with hinoki bath. Enjoy happy hours in the guest lounge, serving white/sparkling wines for free. It worth the cost.

My sister booked this hotel for the night so I had no idea what to expect but my god, what an amazing experience. The staff are so polite and helpful, they really make you feel welcomed. The room, what a fantastic room with the sake bath, soft pillows and blankets. Definitely recommend the private Onsen cause oh my lord that was refreshing. I would love to come back to this hotel again. I wish I could give a 10 star rating.

The staff here were just lovely! took a little getting used to handing in/collecting room keys every time we wanted to leave or come back, but it took just seconds each time. Good location with a short trek down into the gion area where there are more restaurants, though found ourselves needing to go a little further afield on busier nights. The deluxe room with balcony was amazing for the price!

If you're looking for a bit of luxury and willing to spend the bit of extra, then the Saka Hotel is a must pick. Staff are very kind and helpful, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the hotel itself is a delight. Location is also optimal to see the local areas and some tourist sites.

This hotel maybe little far from JR Kyoto station but only took us about 1,500+ yen by taxi from Station to hotel. The stuffs are speak good enough English and if some of them cannot speek well. They will try their best.

The location is close to many tourist attractions (with in walk distance)

For the room, it's beautiful as many Ryokan style with beds. However, we found that some area in the room is not clean enough. In our case. The top of the bed still covered with dust and some used rubber band. Everything else is perfect.

But one of their best is service. They make sure that all the guest are happy and this time we are travel for celebrated our anniversary and they gave us the bottle of champagne for free!

Also, their unique sake bath in room is quite amazing!

We are sure to come back to stay here again next time we visit Kyoto!

Quite simply the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The room was luxurious, the food was exceptional (both the feast of a breakfast and also the incredible Kasakei dinner), the vibe was so friendly. We’re now booking a trip back to Japan purely to stay here again - that says it all.

One of the best hotels in our travels to Kyoto, Japan. For check-in, there is a welcome drink & snack. There is also a free lounge in the 3F, offering alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks and snacks (crackers & ice popsicles). We stayed in a room that had a private open-air onsen, which you add a bottle of sake when using (after a long day of sight seeing, a soak in the sake bath is super relaxing). Japanese breakfast is served in the main restaurant and is delicious. The hotel is also conveniently located to kiyomizudera and area, which was wonderful to explore. Service was attentive, but not overbearing. Would highly recommend to any traveller.

I would HIGHLY recommend staying here if you’re visiting Kyoto. The room was gorgeous, the staff were impeccable, and the location was perfectly central.

Amazing place

기요미즈데라에서 도보 5-6분 거리에 있는 곳으로 교토역에서 호텔까지 택시를 이용해 주로 이동했습니다. 직원분들이 모두 친절하시고 서비스가 참 좋았어요.
택시의 경우 호텔을 통해 호출이 가능하며 체크아웃 이후에도 1층 락커를 통해 캐리어 보관이 가능했습니다. 짐이 락커에 안들어갈경우에도 프론트에서 보관이 가능하였습니다.
조식도 전반적으로 간이 쎄지않아서 좋았습니다. 부모님과 함께 방문한 곳이었습니다만 두분 모두 굉장히 만족하셨습니다.

客室がとても素敵でした！広い、綺麗、テレビでYouTubeも見れました(o^^o)
客室についてるお風呂は檜風呂で、日本酒を入れて楽しむものでした。なかなか体験できないことなので楽しかったです！

夕食のコース料理は、お野菜とお米が今までで1番おいしかったです！
デザートの時、スタッフさんのお気遣いでプレートに日付と京都旅行の文字を書いて出してくださり、新婚旅行で来ていたので良い思い出になりました🤍

スタッフさん全員、優しく丁寧な対応をしてくださいました。また機会があれば是非泊まりたいと思います😊

娘と宿泊させて頂きました。立地もよく、観光地の近くなのに 道一本入っただけで とても静かで 落ち着いて過ごせました。出迎えのスタッフさんから始まり フロントの方、食事担当の方、廊下ですれ違うスタッフさんまで 皆さんとても親切で 優しい笑顔で素敵でした。お料理も一品一品丁寧に作られていて どれも美味しく 運ばれてくる度に感激！大満足でした。食事のサービスもタイミング良く テキパキとされていてとても感じ良かったです。翌朝 早朝に清水寺にお参り。人もまばらでゆっくり回れました。これもホテルの立地のおかげだと思いました。お部屋も清潔感があり 掃除もきちんとされていました。飾り細工されてる床を素足であるくと気持ち良く、観光で歩き回った足に効きました。なんと言っても 檜のお風呂にお酒を入れてはいる酒風呂！湯船を見た感じ ちょっと深くて怖いな、と思いましたが、入ってみると 檜の浴槽が心地よく感激。旅の疲れも癒されました。帰りもホテルの外までお見送りまでして頂きました。本当に思い出に残る 素敵な時間を過ごさせて頂きました。また 季節を変えて 伺いたいと思います。ありがとうございました。

처음 가족들과 교토 여행이었는데 호텔이 정말 좋았어요. 부모님과 같이 갔는데 만족하셨습니다. 조식도 정말 정성스럽게 나오고 맛있었어요.
안내해주시는 분들도 엄청 친절하시고 방도 깨끗했습니다. 신발 벗고 들어 갈 수 있어서 편했고 화장실 욕실 어메니티도 충분하고 깨끗했어요. 또 가고 싶어요!!
호텔에서 기요미즈데라까지 가까워서 걸어서 다녀오기 좋았습니다. 다만, 다른 관광지와 시내와는 거리가 있어서 그 이동은 좀 불편했어요.
