I waited at the entrance for around 15 minutes and then got a table. The cafe is very pretty with nice music playing in the background. Great atmosphere. After ordering for the ricotta cheese pancakes through a QR code, it arrived within 20 minutes or so. I loved it! Very very soft and fluffy. Subtle flavours. I also ordered a pot of green tea, which was OK. They used very few green tea leaves and the tea was not flavourful/strong enough. But overall, I enjoyed the experience! The staff was helpful and efficient. I’d love to visit again if I visit Kyoto for a second time.

I really love this place for their vegetarian food options and pancakes.

You order from their QR code using your mobile device. Whats convenient about it is, you don't have to wait to order and everything on the e-menu can be changed to English if you cannot read Japanese.

The staff are more than happy to help you if you ever need anything.

The atmosphere is very peaceful and has a Kyoto traditional feel when dining. This place is great for any sized groups or singles.

Don't forget to write your name down on the list to queue for this cafe. There is usually a wait.

I'm not vegetarian but I really enjoyed their karage vegetarian dish (no photo). It was so delicious! Give it a try if you're in the area.

Absolutely delicious and it definitely lived up to the hype! Went on a Monday morning right when it opened and we were the first customers. They took a little long to prepare the pancakes but it was 100% worth it. I ordered the matcha triple stacked pancakes and absolutely LOVED them! It is all self order so you order on your phone. I accidentally ordered extra whipped cream which I didn't need. Definitely recommend! The souffle pancakes were so FLUFFY and SOFT! I truly enjoyed the meal.

If you are looking for some quality panca with some amazing hosts and some quality ambience, Micasadeco Cafe brings it all together. We got in there on a weekday in the afternoon and saw a few folks lined up already outside the store. The wait times that were being communicated were in the vicinity of 30-45 minutes. We stood outside in line and in the next 10 minutes the guests that were ahead of us were called in and we followed in soon. Once we got in and were assigned a table it would take about 30 minutes from the time of placing the order till we would receive it. We place two orders of the fluffy pancake with ricotta cheese and a hot tea alongside coffee.

The wait was so well worth it as the pancakes turned out to be amazingly delicious. They melted right at the first bite in our mouth. The coffee and the tea definitely complemented the pancakes.

Great service , great ambience, great music choice and of course the food was delicious.

Absolutely recommend it and so well worth a visit or two or more!!!

I have no notes. The ricotta pancakes were the best pancakes I’ve had in my life. Got them with matcha ice cream and it was so good. The matcha latte was also one of the best!

To be honest, I went to this café because it’s the café that Kiyo and Sumire go to in “The Makanai: cooking for the Maiko House”. It was really lovely, not busy when we visited and the staff were very welcoming. I had the matcha plate which was more matcha at one time than I’ve ever eaten and I loved it, although it did test the boundaries of my matcha liking! The others had different pancake orders (banana and chocolate pancakes, and the strawberry hazelnut pancakes). It was a bit expensive but the whole experience including the elegant café and good service was well worth it.

Ordered the ricotta pancakes based on other reviews, and they did not disappoint! A short walk from Nishiki Market, not busy at opening time. A peaceful breakfast of delicious soufflé pancakes! I highly recommend.

We had the famous fluffy pancakes - we also had them in Tokyo. They are just as good as we tried them before - can really recommend 😊👍

Quaint cosy and relaxing little Cafe with delicious pancakes that are probably underrated somewhat when compared to instagram hyped venues that you have to queue hours for. Well worth a visit when you're visiting Kyoto.

The pancakes here are simply incredible and you must try them. I had the matcha ones, but the ricotta ones looked equally delicious. I can’t really explain how good these pancakes are, it’s like next level deliciousness. Mind blown.

My friend and I wanted to have fluffy pancakes and googled some places and found “A Happy Pancake”. Now, we went there and it was super crowded so we left and looked for an alternative.
Super lucky to have found this place Micasadeco & Cafe Kyoto. Amazing pancakes, I got the Ricotta cheese one with Americano. It wasn’t over the top, the coffee was smooth and the ambience is wonderful. So happy with it. I’d give more stars if I could 🩷🩷🩷🩷

Very pretty restaurant with great staff. The pancakes are delicious and there's a lot of options. I also really like how they present the pancake on the plate. You can tell they put a lot of though of the way its decorated :)

Such a cute and aesthetic cafe. The decor and ambiance are so chic and cozy at the same time. Usually, when a cafe is so cute and all the food and drinks look good you worry that the food will be all aesthetics and not actually tasting good. Luckily, that is not the case here. The food is just as good, if not better than it looks. My husband and I shared the matcha soufflé pancakes and neither of us could finish the one plate we got for the two of us because it was so much food. We also got the berry iced drink and the matcha latte and we loved both!

Excellent cafe with several nice aesthetics. From the moment you walk in it is a very nice atmosphere.
We had the ricotta pancakes, with chocolate cream and maple syrup, as well as a latte and matcha latte, and everything was delicious.
If you are traveling, and have never had this kind of extra fluffy pancakes, please try these!
