Rhythm Japan Hakuba

Rhythm Wadano has a huge selection of gear to hire or purchase. The staff are all very knowledgeable and expert in getting you fitted into the right equipment. It can be a busy place, but as with much of Japan - a little patience goes a long way. I'd like to especially commend Mel who identified and rectified an issue to ensure my experience was not soured. We will totally be back to get our gear from Rhythm Hakuba!

Very quick & smooth experience here hiring premium skis, boots, poles, jacket & pants.

I couldn't book online as it was within 48hrs but they kept the same prices as shown online, even gave a small discount thanks to a referral. There are reviews on other shops (Woody's & Spicey) that suggests they jack up the prices if you turn up without a booking so this was a relief.

After check-in they do measurements. I had a quick discussion around foot width with a ginger fitting ninja and the second pair of boots I tried was actually more comfortable than my own!

Nick helped out with my preferences for skis. Armada 194cm*108mm. Could have k2 enforcers which are excellent skis imo.

The jacket & pants were good quality & warmer than I expected. And they refunded one day of hire out of three in cash because my stuff arrived earlier than expected.

The coffee is also the best I've had in Hakuba.

We (2 people) came in for some equipment hire for our first ever snowboarding experience.

We were set up with Tahne who was so helpful in fitting us out with the right gear based our needs. He was super patient and thorough, making sure everything was right, despite the rush and also being past his finishing time.

He was super knowledgeable in answering all of our questions and we left for the slopes feeling well attended to, looked after and reassured that we'd made the right choice. Thanks for your time and effort Tahne!

The best by far! I was extremely elated at the professionalism of a staff who dealt with my ski boots (my bad, wasn't able to catch his name but I extended my compliments for him to the management when I returned the gears) He was shy but so focused on the fitness of the boots. For him, boots are one of the basics to enjoy skiing. Very patient and down-to-earth staff indeed. True enough, I never had any discomfort on my toes/ legs or whatsoever after a day of skiing. Most of the rental shops I've tried would just hand you over the gears and not even try to ask about the comfort of their customers. Overall, this shop offered great service and friendliness big time no matter how busy they were. Absolutely great!

Excellent customer service from the team and the pickup drop off service when getting your gear is very much appreciated. They were very accommodating when I asked to swap to a larger board after the first day.
Can be hard to contact them for this service if you don’t have the ability to make a phone call though. Maybe a whatsapp number or booking method might help with this?

A definite must go to snow board shop while in Hakuba. The best staff and a great selection. Ask for Matt, he’s the best! He literally helped me beginning to end and left there with a whole set up ready to go for the next day! Thank you rhythm & thanks Matt!

If you’re having boot problems, this is definitely the place to go. I struggled with my foot going numb in my snowboard boots. I went to Rhythm and was met by Sam and Alex, who went all the way to try and fix my problem. Sam is friendly and honest about what he thinks you’ll need and Alex seems to know everything there is to know about your problem. 10/10 can recommend. They did in fact fix my boot, even though I almost was prepared to buy a new one.

Best rental store in hakuba. Josh in the rental area was helpful, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I’m very happy with the service I was provided and will definitely be back the next time I am here.

I have been using Rhythm for a fast and easy ski rental service the last three years.
They have a wide selection of skis, snowboards and boots for all levels.
Located a few minutes walk from the Happo slopes, they as well provide a free drop off service to your hotel.
You will also be able to buy any item (gloves, googles, etc) from high end brands (Oyuki, etc, Burton, etc).

Great location, great customer service. Fast turn around on time ups. Clothing is pricey, rental prices comparable to others on the mountain. Good selection, knowledgeable honest staff.

Rentals in Niseko and Hakuba. Would use rhythm again 100%, on the next trip. Performance package all the way. Swap skis for conditions. Olivia was very friendly and helpful in Hakuba. Team was great in Niseko as well.

BIG SHOUTOUT TO DOUGIE in service. Amazing fixed my ski pole straps destroyed by airline and baskets. Fast Friendly precise and personal service... he's got the RYTHM.

Great rental shop. I love my rental service there except a less experienced staff try to stick my children on old carvers when I order performance skis for powder skiing ....otherwise great ! Pickup n drop off on the house . Lots of ski clothing n accessories for sale. Very busy place; friendly staff

Professional rental company with super staff. Danny was a fantastic boot fitter, and Zach also went above and beyond to help us out.

A toe buckle on my bindings failed me. The tech at Rhythm unearthed a temporary fix, worked for what I needed.
Really made my day!

First class gear and service. Staff are fabulous and make renting your gear a breeze no matter how busy it is.

The #1 spot for rentals in Hakuba. Highly recommend if you haven't brought your kit with you.

Great rental and ski/snowboard store. Excellent boot fitting service. (Last trip but I think the boot fitter is still there) Premium package so worth it - swapping boards out almost daily to try something new, service always with a smile. Oh and the Coffee might almost be better than anything else in the store.. might be a bit on the pricier end of things to buy here but you do get good quality and service so..

Slightly pricey but you get good gear and service. Pickup and drop up was particularly helpful. Would definitely recommend it when heading to hakuba
