Tsujiri Kyoto Store

1st floor is the store & 2nd floor is the seating. Good to reserve seats before purchasing beverage/ice cream. Store has Tsujiri products which is priced slightly (¥2) lower than the more touristy areas. Ice cream was delicious. Matcha latte was a bit sweet.

I tried the vanilla/matcha ice cream swirl cone and matcha latte. The ice cream was topped with matcha flavor. The light vanilla perfectly contrasted with the rich matcha flavor. The cone tasted fresh, as though it’s made in shop or nearby. The latte was rich and creamy.

One of the nicest mocha red bean ice cream. Highly recommended. The are many choices and portion is large.

One of the most traditional matcha brand in Kyoto (more than 150 years of history)! First floor has matcha ice cream, drinks and deserts for sale. They also have packed merchandise for sale (cake, cookies, instant latte, green tea). Second floor is for dine in. Highly recommend the ice cream and latte! Very flavorful

First,you go to the second floor and find the table you use and secure it
Second,down to the ground floor and order at the counter
Wait a little bit and staff call your number shown on your receipt
You take your order and go to the second floor with it
Finally enjoy your drinks and some sweets at the cafe:)

I got the matcha and milk ice cream, which was absolutely amazing, especially during the hot summer. Staff was super nice and quick! Would love to go again on my next Japan trip.

My first Tsujiri experience after being hyped up about it by friends. Very delicious and not very sweet at all which was a pleasant surprise. The matcha flavor was very strong and the added goodies with the cone made for a great cold snack on a hot day that wasn't heavy. Superb!

Back in Manila we used to frequent a little hole in the wall type of place that served what I consider to be the best matcha ice cream dessert ever. But the place closed down and nothing I tried since could match the flavor and quality of this divine dish that I've enjoyed for years. Until tonight. Prowling the streets of Kyoto we came upon this gem of a place, Tsujiri Kyotomise. Displayed prominently in front was a picture of what looked like an exact replica of that Japanese dessert I used to crave for and enjoy back home. It was just too much to resist so while I was stuffed from sampling all the street food the city had to offer I just had to try their Matcha Soft Serve Ice Cream Parfait. And am I glad I did! The first bite I took came with a surge of matcha, which I am not too fond of, per se. I thought that first bite was a bit like licking some algae off a rock. But it was the red bean paste that saved the day because it just balanced off the strong matcha flavor and added just a bit of sweetness. Then when you bite into the mochi balls -- perfection! The only thing missing that was really good about the Manila version was some taro paste. But this dessert does well and holds its own even without it. When in Kyoto, you MUST try this!

One of the very few places to sit down and have a rest, where you can dispose your garbage self service also they do have a restroom located at second floor.

Amazing desserts. Lovely chewy rice ball in my matcha ice cream cone. The BEST item though, is actually their simplest item: matcha green tea latte. Get the CONCENTRATED (less sweet) version. It’s packed with matcha and my body felt good after I ate it.

Fantastic desserts and ice creams. I do recommend. Very close to the kabuki theatre. I came here when I was waiting for the play to begin in the theatre nearby.

Definitely one of the better macha ice cream around !! There are lots of similar one around.. especially tourist area.. but this wont go wrong...

One of the best macha desert I've tasted in my life! Apparently the menu are based on the season. Still quite crowded by youth. You can also buy delicious green tea

Delicious matcha ice cream I have ever tried in Asia. Clean and beautiful second floor to rest and relax. Staff is also very professional and polite. Their smoothie also worth to try. You can taste the real matcha flavor here. You can smell and feel the fresh matcha.

Our favourite place for matcha ice cream whenever we are in Kyoto. Best for grab-n-go, although there is a little seating area upstairs if you want to sit down.
