Best thing you can find after the summit visit.

The best breakfast and coffee are served here. And I had no hesitations when I decided to give it a try.
Super tasty food, great options to choose and great coffee/matcha hot/iced are served in this area.
Staff is lovely, speaking English very well, helpful and kind ♥ amazing people.

One of my fav places for Kyoto travelers.

Also they have amazing views of the pond with fish and turtles. And some birds

We ran into it on our way down the mountain after hiking the tori gates.
They are open earlier than most places so even though it was ~9, there were tons of people.
They have a great seating area outside that is perfect for fish and duck watching while you enjoy your drinks.
Loved the breakfast plate. We ordered extra egg and bacon to be shared with 2 people and got a much needed hot chocolate & latte to reenergize.
Highly recommend for those in the area.

We had breakfast here back in July. The place is small but cozy and beautiful. They initially sat us in different tables outside with views of the river, but then we moved to the table inside so we can eat all together (group of 7). It was a great late breakfast, good drinks and nice pastries, everything we needed after climbing Fushimi Inari. We totally recommend it!

Vermillion Cafe's location and ambiance make it a perfect spot to relax after exploring the nearby shrine, providing a rustic yet zen-like retreat amongst the attractions. Do be aware that the cafe can get quite busy, especially during peak seasons, so it's recommended to visit early/lateto avoid long lines.

Noticed this quaint little cafe while descending Mt Inari and decided to give it a go. Staff were very friendly and menu was in English. Got the Vermilion Breakfast (1800 yen) and the Hummus (1400 yen) both of which were delicious. Would also recommend sitting out on the terrace where there's a great view of the tranquil pond. Highly recommended

Such a beautiful little cafe away from the hustle of the tourist centers. Small but worth it if you can snag a table on their small patio overlooking the river.

Well located, good- nourishing food, gats service and the cutest view.
We ordered the tofu bahn mi, matcha latte, hummus and yogurt with fruit.

Retro little place with good vibes and scenic views beside the river with an orchestra of birds chirping away, very therapeutic. I ordered the house blend which was aromatic and strong bodied. The staff speak English and are friendly and cheerful.

Definitely recommend settling down for a rest after the hustle and bustle of the Fushimi-inari shrine visit.

Beautiful food that was incredibly tasty and filling for the price. I would happily come back here to enjoy the scenic back garden overlooking the river. They even had warm blankets to put on in the cold winter months. Flat white was average.

Everything here is perfect, you can have breakfthere before going up to the trail to see more shrines. The food is amazing, and the view was beautiful. You need to wait for awhile because they always busy.

We had breakfast there before visiting Taisha. Very nice place, atmospheric. We ordered toast, muffin, granola and coffees. Delicious. To sit on the terrace is lovely

Very relaxing atmosphere with a pond in front and the sounds of birds when you need a getaway from the city. Only downside is that there is no wifi. Very good coffee and lovely staff. I recommend 100%.

Super lovely cafe to chill at. Would have loved to try the food here as it looks good, but only tried the matcha latte. It was super delicious!

Every vegetarian/ vegan knows how difficult it is to eat in Japan. So coming across this cafe that offers vegetarian options was a serendipitous delight! Plus- calm views by the lake!!!

Super beautifully designed place, with a lovely terrace, lots of sitting place both outside and inside. They are vegan friendly and staff is very professional.
Hummus plate was very filling and tasted great and fresh, vegan fig muffing was not too sweet and texture was good, coffee was delicious too, they have oat milk and vegan friendly.
Definitely recommend if you are in the area or after visiting Fushimi Inari

Amazing coffee, probably in the last place you'd expect to find it, too. Muffins are tasty, but very indulgent.

View over the river is lovely and tranquil.

Kind, friendly staff. Good food, good atmosphere, peaceful view. A little spendy but is within reason for a nice cafe. As a plus, most of the staff have excellent English skills. Be sure to get there a little early and expect to have a short wait for a table.

Lovely coffee spot! I had an iced pour-over with their house blend coffee beans. Roasty, not too tart, and a little fruity.

Avocado toast was good. Fresh baked chocolate cookie was bomb!!

The back patio overlooks the river and trees, so definitely a great place to sit down and chill.

It did get crowded with bumbling, noisy tourists during the lunch hour. But, it seems that the regular started coming in after 1PM and it got nice and chill again.

Most definitely worth going for third-wave coffee in Kyoto!
