HOTEL IMAGINE KYOTO

Our kids loved the Japanese pajamas and were so excited to sleep on the tatami mats. The bathrooms were really luxurious. The owner was so nice and helpful. Our room was on the first floor right next to the desk and laundry. We thought we'd maybe hear stuff from our room, but it was super quiet.

Excellent boutique hotel with cute, well-designed rooms and friendly staff. Nice central location close to the train station. Our kids also loved it. The only suggestion I have is to get better pillows - they were pretty lumpy and uncomfortable.

Hotel Imagine is the kind of place you want others to visit. Sora and his team do a wonderful job making you feel at home and always welcome.

The concept and inspiration are spot on - the legacy of the Beatles gentle and inspirational music in a city like Kyoto.

The surrounds are fantastic - a few minutes to Kyoto station, and many great places to eat nearby.

Amazing hotel! Mr Sorato and Ms Ai made us feel completely at ease and welcomed. They were extremely friendly and enthusiastically introduced spots with good food for us to try. There are many amenities at the common area such as a microwave and a fridge, and the rooms are huge and cozy. There is even a roof top area for all to relax at! The hotel is also very accessible from Kyoto station, just a 5 minutes walk away. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay and I would highly recommend this hotel!

Absolutely beautiful hotel and experience! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it was perfect for our family of four with two small children. The room was gorgeous, the guest lounge area was very useful. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The location is very convenient to Kyoto station. I would stay again and recommend to friends.

It is like a boutique hotel with fun and trendy lobby and roof top.

Easily located within Kyoto station (5min walk).

Although it is not a full hotel with restaurant that serves breakfast, nor 24/7 reception/housekeeping, the reception counter will be available from 11am to 8pm daily, and there will be clearing of bins and changing towels daily.

Kitchenette and laundry (coin operated washer & dryer) areas are useful for tourists too.

Most importantly, the service by the staff is impressive.
1) they are very responsive to emails. Prior to arrival, I had many queries, and also asked for help to receive items I had ordered to be delivered to the front desk prior to my arrival.
2) I asked for details of airport express bus service, such as where to get the tickets and board the bus. Firstly, they helped to call to make reservation on my behalf. They then took the effort to walk to the ticketing counter at bus bay areas (5min away from hotel) to snap some photos and emailed to me.

We are very touched and impressed but such extra mile services that they took, despite challenges communicating. They strive to give their best services to the tourists.

I wish I spent my entire Japan trip in Kyoto and at this hotel!! Sorato-san and his team are so lovely and welcoming, they really did make it feel like a home away from home. I love how they have their own merch and also guestbooks to write messages in.

The location is perfect, just a short walk from Kyoto station and so easy to get to other places like Gion + Nishiki market. I will definitely be coming back here the next time I come to Kyoto :)

This place is conveniently located with incredibly friendly staff. The rooms are clean and pleasant and the hotel is reasonably new. There are plenty of little activities in the lobby or on the rooftop, making it perfect for both family fun and relaxing with a drink.

Exceeded all expectations. Felt at home during our 3 night stay in Kyoto. Sorato and his team made us feel so welcome and were amazing hosts. The shared communal space was lovely. We wish we spent more days here! Quick 5 minute walk to Kyoto station.

Amazing hotel, fantastic location, perfect for families!

It was really difficult choosing a hotel in Japan as there are many reviews on how small the spaces are and with 2 kids under 4 it was a struggle selecting however this hotel exceeded our expectations! The rooms and bathrooms are huge and very clean. They have so many helpful facilities like a fully equipped kitchen, washing machines etc. We would definitely love to return and would recommend this hotel 100% for our family and friends. The position is also so convenient and so many things within walking distance (including a train line!).

Spacious rooms with low set beds and the option of using futons, which is great for those who might be travelling with young infants/children. I was impressed by the attention to detail in our room.

The staff were helpful, and the friendly owner also took the time to provide us with recommendations in Kyoto.

It's about a 5 minute walk to Kyoto station, which is a great hub to get to other places in the city.

They had a nice set up on the rooftop as well which you can relax in during the day or night.

Lovely hotel. We stayed there for 5 nights with my family (2 adults and 2 teenagers). We found the hotel room really lovely and comfortable. The little kitchen at the entrance is great if you are having a take-out meal (which is useful in case you are arriving late and restaurants are closed 😉). The location close to that main station is a real plus (lots of restaurants and shops). A very nice experience and I would love to come again if I travel back to Kyoto.

If you’re coming to Kyoto you NEED to stay here! It’s so lovely, reasonably priced, nicest staff ever, in-house laundry…it’s the absolute BEST!!!

My family had a wonderful stay at Hotel Imagine. The owner and his family and staff were amazing. Our room was comfortable, bathroom was fantastic and we received excellent service throughout our stay. The location was convenient and easily accessible by mass transit. I strongly recommend anyone staying in Kyoto to consider this location.

We had a fabulous time at Hotel Imagine Kyoto. We are a family of 5 - 2 adults and 3 children ages 3-11. The space provided for our family was perfect for our needs. The staff was great with our kids, our youngest was always eager to get back to her "friends" at the end of the day. The open floor concept on the first floor was welcoming and accommodating - we enjoyed making breakfast in the mornings and the kids enjoyed the open space to play together. The owner was there daily and always helpful with our family's needs. The location was easy and convenient from the train station.

Fantastic Japanese style hotel a short walk from Kyoto station. You have a choice between Western and Japanese style beds. Kimono pjs to borrow for free as well as games, etc. Owner is young and so very kind and helpful. We loved our visit to Hotel Imagine!

Amazing hotel! Military traveling from Okinawa and we were very happy. The room is very clean and large enough for us and our daughter. It felt very authentic to where we were and we loved it. Extremely friendly host and staff. Will stay here again every time we travel to Kyoto.

I’m a frequent traveler and I must admit that staying at HOTEL IMAGINE KYOTO was one of the most amazing experience for me and my family to date! 🇯🇵

For the first contact to the last hug we felt — it was truly a home for us! Sorato & his fantastic crew did everything to make our stay in Kyoto special! They provided valuable insights about the region and local activities. They were close enough if we needed them but distanced enough to help us get some privacy as well.

Their place is super clean (Japan-lvl!), perfectly equipped and super-located. Their crew is smiling, they are professional, speak fluent English and they have a good sense for a details and quality.

And the memorable experience in July, when they provided me an acoustic guitar to perform a concert at their place. Wow! That was mind blowing and one of a kind experience (including the beautiful gift we got from them — see the picture attached).

Dear HOTEL IMAGINE KYOTO TEAM. We love you, we miss you and we will defiantly come back one day. To spend time, relax, and finally to perform a rooftop concert which is on my personal bucketlist ❤

Convenient as it’s near to the station. Bed was comfortable and I love the vibe and the design of this hotel! Staff are friendly and they will bring your baggages to the room directly (when room are ready) if you came before the check-in timing to leave your baggage at the lobby. Good service!

Lovely staff Very good service try to communicate And the accommodation is not far from Kyoto Station. Traveling is very convenient.
