Gojozaka Machiya

Fantastic traditional japanese house in a very nice and calm neighborhood. Found it very spacious too, we stayed five people and that was no problem. Loved all the original details, tatami floor, ricepaper windows etc.
Convenience store is a two minute walk away and both the Gion district, Yasaka shrine, Sannenzaka area (really nice) and the Kiyomizu-dera temple is in walking distance. Absolutely loved our stay here, taxi drivers does seem to have a hard time finding the place, so i’d recommend using the Uber app and put a waypoint outside on the bigger road (of course this is not the owners fault). 10/10 experience.

Une maison traditionnelle pour touristes.
La maison est très belle et bien décoré mais ne va pas plus loin.

Problème a régler:
- l'adresse du bureau d'accueil n'était pas correcte
- le bureau d'accueil nous as envoyé vers la maison en taxi mais pas avec la bonne adresse. On as du chercher 10 min dans des petites rue.
- accueilli par des sacs poubelle dans l'entrée
- la farde d'information est inutile ( ex: "appuyez sur le bouton programme" de la machine a laver, mais celles-ci est en kanji et donc aucun bouton "programme", une correspondance kanji-fonction serait le bien venu)

Pour finir, bien qu'il y a suffisamment de chambres et salles d'eau, je limiterais les groupes a 4 adultes et 2 enfants maximum. On se marche dessus et les passages étroits.
