In particular, the room is wider than other hotels, there is no unique smell of the bathroom, and the free beverage service is good. It's a bit far from Kyoto Station, but I recommend it if you want a place to relax because it's located in a quiet place.
가성비 너무 좋아요.

A nice small hotel that looks bigger on the inside. The rooms were very nice. Some rooms have lifted beds, and some futons, so make note when reserving. The breakfast is very delicious too. The atmosphere is a nice take on a modernization of the Japanese culture without being overly bright.

Value for money for a great quality accommodation. Room is bigger than typical room in other big city in Japan. There's a big sofa that is very comfy. Staff are super friendly and extremely helpful and try their best to meet customers request. We stay there for 6 nights and I like the concept of only clean the room when we needed by putting the round magnet badge in front of our room. This is a Real environmental friendly by practice. 👍👍👍👍👍
Will be back to stay here for our next visit in Kyoto.

Hotel / location / staff were great. Typical Asian beds and it was fine. Really enjoyed the hotel and the staff and the location was great since it was down a great street and quiet.

I chose this hotel because I was offered good price for my stay in Kyoto. Location-wise it not the best but it was good enough. It is a bit far from the train station. Going by bus is more practical. Our room was small but everything was cute and there was a bathtub. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

A very quiet hotel and the deco is very modern and relaxing. Had to walk quite a bit to the nearest station but the neighborhood is very chill to walk and soak in the Kyoto vibes.

I really enjoyed our stay at the Oriental Hotel. The rooms were spacious. We opted for the traditional Japanese room to get more of the experience. There are western style rooms but I’m glad we went for the traditional Japanese. We were bummed out the breakfast was full during our 2 day stay.

I am an English female solo traveler who stayed in this hotel as part of a trip to Japan. Out of the five hotels I stayed in across the country, this one was my favourite.

Located in a quiet part of Kyoto, the hotel has a very sophisticated yet homely atmosphere. It was incredibly stylish and clean.

The staff were friendly and accommodated my request of sending on my luggage to my next hotel with ease.

I stayed in a standard double room and my (Western style) room was huge! It was very elegant, had a big TV, a massive bed, a sofa and a great bathroom with a fantastic deep bath. The hotel room came equipped with everything you need for a good night sleep.

The breakfast was lovely. It was mainly Japanese. I really enjoyed the Okonomiyaki style eggs with rice and veg. They also had amazing Japanese sweet breakfast items, which were so tasty. There was fresh juice and coffee.

Location wise, the hotel is in a more residential area. You can easily get the bus into central Kyoto though and the nearest metro is quite close (about 10 min walk). I enjoyed the fact it was in a quiet spot, as you were away from many other tourists. If you have Google Maps, (and data on your phone/a portable wifi device) navigating the city is easy.

The highlight of my trip to Kyoto was going to Arashiyama. You can get the number 28 bus which departs 5 mins away from the hotel outside Nishi Honganji mae and it takes about 35 mins to get there. Arashiyama was amazing for the scenic walks, monkey park, the beautiful temples, the delicious street food, the bamboo forest and cafes - it is such a special place!

Gorgeous property. Am surprised by some low reviews.. regardless.. am really pleased with the room and board and sometimes its that 1 star employee that uplifts the entire experience!
I will like to recognise Ms Syo who went above and beyond with helping us out with bags, reservations and the extra wonderful experience and memory.

Property itself was well stocked. Beds were soo comfortable amd while rooms were a little small, we liked that there was options of connecting rooms for my family of 5.
And oh..
Good location too. For those who drive. Nearby parking at 300¥ overnight from 10pm to 8am.

If we return back to Kyoto..
.will stay here in a beat.

A cost-effective hotel. It is quite satisfactory. And if you join a hotel member, you can rent an e-bike for complimentary, which is a great tool for traveling to Kyoto. Breakfast is also good.

Booked the hotel because the price is sweet but location wise.. not fantastic but not bad either. Near bus stop and near karasuma line but at Kyoto most of the time will take bus. I think best location to stay at Kyoto is Kyoto station (my thoughts).
Anyway the hotel room is small as usually but not bad as they are able to accommodate 4 of us, 2 adult 2 kids. Reception is always around and there is luggage transfer service, go to the counter for help to do the transfer.
Toilet has bath tub, my daughter enjoys. All basic amenities are there. Nothing to complain. With that pricing, I think I'm getting more than what I should get.
If you need taxi, hotel staff can help to call them for you.

I really enjoyed to stay in this hotel. Me and my friend choose the room with Japanese Style, and the room is so comfy. Although is not that big, but it is really compact.

Beautiful hotel with an amazing room. Location is a bit of a distance from the train stations, but it was ultimately worth the journey.

The hotel breakfast looks very good but I did not get a chance to try.

I stayed here for just a one day trip to Kyoto. It was a nice and cheap hotel. The lobby was so cool. The staffs were friendly. The hotel is a little bit far away from Kyoto station but you can easily go there by bus or taxi. It only cost 230 yen for bus and around 700 yen for taxi(Didi).
I booked a room with a breakfast and I got a Japanese breakfast. It was good to eat rice and soup but I actually prefer a scrambled eggs :) but since their hospitality is great I can’t give them like even 4 stars.
